Smells: Buttery, sweet like candied flowers.

Taste: Wow. I don’t like floral teas but this tastes great. Like a tea time cake topped with flowers while rolling around in the spring grass outside. It is very smooth and not astringent at all. Not too vegetal or grassy as some green teas can be. The after taste at the back of the throat is reminiscent of lettuce, but very faint.

This is one of the best green teas I’ve tried recently and it is very easy to brew. The rose does not add a perfume or soap taste like I’ve had in the past and it blends well with the green tea. The packaging recommended 3-7 minutes and I brewed it for 3 minutes with slightly cooled 175 degree water.

Flavors: Cake, Dry Grass, Marzipan, Rose, Violet

Backlog:

A really good Earl Grey. I’ve tried a lot of different Earl Grey teas, so I don’t know that this is the best that I’ve ever had, but it is a really good one, and I’d recommend it enthusiastically to any Earl Grey lover.

A strong scent of Bergamot – not overwhelmingly strong, but it’s a good, strong essence – and a divine flavor. A rich, full-flavored black tea with a fair amount of astringency. Earthy, bold and slightly sweet and this complements the tangy-sweet notes of the Italian citrus.

Backlog:

Well, this tea note should show just how far behind I am on my logs here on Steepster … I wrote this at the end of spring. Fall has almost begun. sigh

For me, no other tea exemplifies spring to me than a cherry tea like this. It makes me think of the cherry blossom trees.

And this is a refreshing cherry rose tea. The rose is strong without being too floral or soapy. The cherry notes are sweet without tasting too much like cough syrup. A good balance has been achieved with this tea and I quite enjoyed it. I don’t know if it was my favorite spring cherry tea but I liked it.
