Della Terra Teas

..and final tea of the evening since i figured i should have some caffeine free options! There are none in the travelling tea box A, so i’m sneaking some from my cupboard that are getting close to sipdown status so that i can push them closer to the edge.

..and um now i have see a woman about an elephant on her tea…

had a cup of this tonight while catching up on the last few episodes of falling skies – for sure like orange cream and lime chiffon more than this one but this will do in a pinch for a rooibos blend :)

Final tea of the evening. Even though i still enjoy this quite a bit, it won’t likely be a permanent to my collection. I’ll still pick it up from time to time but i’ve grown to love the lime chiffon more from della terra and the orange cream even more than that!

Soooo i totally missed my steepster-versay (July 10th) BUT i did discover (probably something most of you already know) that i have a record of the number of different teas i’ve tried in my tea rating log….776!

As my other half pointed out – if i was doing a world of beer tour, i’d have 4? jackets already. haha

On that note…i finally cold brewed this last night thanks to Kittenna’s tasting note and holy crap this is good. i can just imagine how awesome the lime chiffon will be since i totally dig that one slightly more than this one. Although, maybe it’ll be a case of this is my cold brew and that’s my hot brew. Anyway..this? with a teeeeny bit of sweetner, cold brewd = awesome. delicious and just what i needed in this heat!

another backlog from last week – i brought this with me to cuba as well as a cold brew or late night drink. I managed to have it a couple of times, though i think i’ve finally figured out that it’s lime chiffon and orange & cream that will be the staple “rooibos” blends from della terra in my cupboard. I just like the tanginess from the lime better and the creamy orange deliciousness.

So strangely I haven’t apparently had this since December…..which doesn’t really seem right but hey, we’ll go with it. Final tally for tonight is 230 BUT I haven’t had a chance to put the shared order that Terri and I have that’s at my house. That’s another 8 teas or so but ill worry about those when I get some time on the weekend since I suspect I may have to manually enter them all.

Release is apparently finally going in this weekend which normally would mean lots of tea drinking Saturday night but they’re forcing us to go to the centre, rather than test from home since its been a shit show the past few releases soooooo it basically means no tea for most of Saturday and Sunday. Which sucks. Which means ill be struggling to get to 200 before I go on vacation but maybe I can get enough teas to 1 cup status to bring a new cup of tea for me to drink every day I’m on vacation for sipdowns lol.

This tea? Well see previous notes. It’s lemon, its creamy and I think? I prefer the lime and the orange over it, but not by much…they’re all a pretty close margin :)

sipdown! 231 teas and counting! I’m beginning to think i might prefer the lime chiffon over this one but i’m not entirely sure. i meant to do a side by side comparison but totally forgot. maybe next time heh.

So i wanted to try this again today in order to compare it with one of the teas i received in my swap. I am still digging the lemon creaminess of this one, though i still need to do a comparison with lime chiffon to see which i like better. This one is both lemoney and creamy and it’s great that it’s a rooibos blend :)

SIPDOWN!

Though I may need to restock this as it’s pretty enjoyable. Had some of this tonight while on the phone for work with China. Yeah that’s right…I’m going to china for work! lol Not for a little bit, but i’m hoping that I can have at least one night out to go exploring to fine at least ONE tea shop while i’m there. :) In any case..tried to have some low caffine options tonight since i really need sleep tonight since work has been stupidly busy this week!

Backlog!

Cold brew from yesterday and man this was tasty! It really like this tea brewed cold, though hot isn’t so bad either :) I like the way it’s like a creamy lemon cup of delicious but not overly sweet. It’s not a lemon tea..but really, it’s lemon chiffon :)

Mmmmm evening sip of lemony goodness while we game for a bit.

I think Azzrian gave me whatever bug it was she had heh Either that or I managed to dance and sing way too much on friday and now i’m paying for it. So much for going to the gym today. Instead it’s going to be tea, tea and more tea….followed by some sleep

As for this tea, it’s a pretty decent lemon tea. Not lemon like the fruit, but more like the lemon squares, so there’s a touch of artificial to this, but it’s in the kind of baked goodies sense of that. So it’s still pretty delicious. Also, it’s not sour…but it’s not exactly sweet either. just lemon square. lol

SIPDOWN! backlog from earlier today. Note to self, this is so much better at slightly warmer than room temperature lol. Happy to have this back in the house temporarily and it will likely come and go in my cupboard.

Sipdown! Been drinking this in the afternoon and I’ve come to the conclusion that this might be the second tea from Della Terra that I love. Bumping the rating up a little since it was much tastier this afternoon. I’d consider picking this up again as a semi-permanent dessert tea for my cupboard.

backlog from yesterday…

I’ve discovered the way to drink this is with a splash of milk – something i don’t normally ever put in my teas. I tried it last night because we have an abundance of cream in the house as i’d picked some up for my parents to have with their coffee and now i don’t know what to do with it! lol

The addition of the cream made this taste like a cookie! it toned down the cinnamon and just made it into a melty delicious cookie.

This is mighty tasty folks! When i opened the bag it was like I had cracked open a bag full of those soft oatmeal cookies you can get at the store. How does it taste? Pretty damn good! I could use just a touch less cinnamon, though i suspect adding a bit of milk to this would work as well. I may have to try that next time. overall a pretty tasty dessert tea.

Sip down! Had this with dinner and it was a nice complement.

I tried this after the vanilla tea from Steeped and Infused to get a comparison and let me tell you, there is no comparison. The other tea is exactly what i so hoped this one would be. While this is still a tasty tea, it’s not not full of the vanilla love i so want from it.

this isn’t bad..but not as intense as i’d like the flavouring to be. 12 days of christmas starts tomorrow in our tea swap! YAY!

Mmmm this is a really tasty tea! Nt too overpowering on the vanilla and a nice balance with the black. I haven’t had too many other vanilla blacks but this is pretty tasty!

Another sample sipdown! This one came from Azzrian, I’m fairly certain.

I have about five different vanilla teas in my stash right now, and even for me that’s a bit too much.

This one has a really interesting sort of baked goods smell wafting from it – as if it really were a “cafe” vanilla tea instead of just a vanilla tea! There’s a buttery fruitiness to it that’s really intriguing. A lovely cup.

It smells so decadently vanilla. The aroma is authentic and strong. I steeped 1tsp/8oz/4minutes. The black base is strong, but the vanilla is really creamy and sweet. A little bit of agave and milk and I’m in heaven. A lovely way to start the day after a late night :)

What?!? I haven’t reviewed this yet? How terrible of me.

This is my second cup of this and it is amazingly delicious. It’s nutty, slightly sweet and a bit fruity. So much walnut flavour. This is a great any time tea. So in love with this one. Perhaps it may be my fav green tea.
