For being a Disney brand tea, it’s very tasty!

This was ok and fruity; lost some flavour as I could no longer identify the fruitiness, but still worth drinking. Down to a couple cups left!

Thanks to Sil for a generous sample of this one!

My first impression when drinking it was that it tastes like a black flavoured with tasty tropical fruits! Well, apricot and peach aren’t terribly tropical… but I think it was just the slight hint of ginger throwing me off, because now that I know what ingredients are in it, I definitely feel like I’m tasting apricot/peach and ginger. Overall, pretty tasty! Lacking in astringency too, which is always a big plus for me + black teas.

Thanks again, Sil! It’s great trying all these totally random teas that I would never have access to otherwise! :D

I was excited when I first heard Disney was making teas! I thought, wow, Disney is jumping on the tea boat? How fantastic! If Disney is making teas that must mean that tea drinking is truly getting more popular in America! Excellent!

Now, I’ve experimented with this tea a few times before really judging thoroughly. Here are my conclusions: This is a beginners tea; It’s very weak. Disney recommends to steep for 3 to 4 minutes, for me, I had to steep it for 10 minutes just to get a strong enough flavor out of it to please my pallet. It’s not a bad flavor by any means (citrusy), but 10 minutes for a black tea? It’s pretty weak, (and it says medium flavor on the tin).

That all being said, this is a tea that probably should be enjoyed with friends who are Disney fans that aren’t familiar with tea, or children.

I love this tea. Maybe more than I should. But what can I say—it’s delicious and magical and brings back fond memories. And did I mention peachy, gingery, and delicious? Not to mention the tin is ADORABLE.

I recently had a friend bring two tins of this back from Disneyland for me :) Looking forward to LOTS of MAD tea parties!!

This tea actually holds a lot of sentimental value for me, I bought this tea on an orchestra trip and every time I drink it I am reminded of my time there.

This is my first “apricot” tea and so please note I have not compared it to others.

It’s a gorgeous smell right out of the tin, apricots hit you right in the face.
On steeping the tea apricot comes to the forefront. It’s not bitter at all.

It may be my nostalgia talking, but this is one of my most favorite teas. I’d give a lot to have a lifetime supply of this at hand.

All in all (to the experienced tea aficionado), it’s worth trying if you happen to be in a Disney theme park (if only for the adorable tin).

I’ve always wanted to try a Disney tea, and my friend bought this as a souvenir for me while on vacation in Disney World! I’m not usually a fan of black teas, and the description reminded me of an Earl Grey tea. I steeped it and added a small amount of cinnamon honey to it. I taste the orange and the bergamont. It has a bit of an artificial aftertaste to it. I’m not real impressed. I might drink a few more cups, and I’ll certainly keep the tin, but I wouldn’t buy it.

Keep in mind that I’m not a lemon-y kind of person…

I got this tea as a gift from a friend. It was a kind gesture, haha :)

But initially, it was the sweet scent of honey that drew me in. The lemon taste was a little overwhelming and had a little artificial kind of taste…

However, it’s a great tea to re-steep 3-5 times and chamomile is amazing.

And the boxing is amazing- Alice in Wonderland is worth a little futterwacken! (an AiW reference :D)

Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for sending me a bit of this tea. I am so glad I got to try it because I’ve been really curious about these Disney Teas. I love Disneyland, I love just about everything Disney, so I am thrilled to be able to try some of their teas!

Unfortunately, while I think that Disney can do many things right, I don’t think that tea is one of them. This is just sorta alright. I taste the bergamot and the orange, but the bergamot tastes kind of funky to me. It doesn’t taste like the exotic bergamot I’m used to tasting in high quality Earl Grey blends. This tastes more like … soda pop orange flavor in a tea.

It’s alright, I’m enjoying it and I’ll certainly finish the cup, but, this tea certainly won’t be the reason I want to go to Disneyland.

ROFL I think I sent you some of that too! HAHA!

Yes! Some of them are pretty good and others are just ‘alright’. :)

Finally, my blog review of this tea!
http://oolongowl.wordpress.com/2013/07/24/mad-tea-party-blend-from-disney-wonderland-tea-tea-review/

I did it purely to show off the awesomeness of the tin the tea comes in, lol!

I did have some MTPB iced, it was okay. I wish there was less bitterness in the black base, and better, more natural ginger peach flavoring. Pretty ho hum overall.

Gave this tea another shot.

Tried 2.5 minutes at 200f – much better in terms of no bitterness. But, the flavored parts of this tea, the ginger is out and pleasant. The apricot has disappeared though. A little bit of sweetness and that’s it.

Well, next time I’ll cold steep or ice tea this – maybe that’ll bring out the apricot.

/shakes fist Crazy disney tea! Work with me! I love your fun tin! At my dinner party last night everyone kept checking out the tin too.

They have a really cute tea set too that is also Alice & Wonderland themed.

Seeing the name of this tea it make me think of the teacups ride at Disneyland. And then I hear the Unbirthday song.

Okay, my sister is one of those people who LOVES Disneyland. Like she goes every time she’s in town, sometimes being 2-4 times a year. She always wants me to go, but I bail every time after seeing the $125 price tag. Last time she went she surprised me with a tin of this tea.

DRY: Spicy ginger and peachy sweet smell. Really cute tin btw – very Alice in Wonderland all over it.
STEEPED: Sweet fruity and gingery over dark brown tea.

TASTE: Warm flavored black tea, strongly flavored with apricot with a zing of ginger at the end of sip. The black tea is bordering on bitter.
Sweetened, the apricot comes out more, however this cup got quite bitter as it cooled. I wonder if I over steeped or added too much leaf. I think adding milk would fix this, but not into adding milk today.

WHO SHOULD SNAG THIS TEA: If you like apricot ginger, this is decent and a step above bagged tea. Also you should be a tea peep who likes to sugar and milk their teas. And finally, if you are a Disney fan, probably would love the tin. Heck, I’m not a Disney fan and I love the tin!

COMMENTS: I liked the first cup for the good apricot taste, but wasn’t anything super special. Then the black base got all bitter crazy on me, and it became a pour out. I could see this tea being a decent iced tea.

Ehhhh, overall not for me, but I’m keeping the tin!

I love Disneyland too. When we lived down there and my grandparents were still with us, every year they would get an annual pass for me and my oldest daughter (who was my only daughter at the time) for our birthdays because our birthdays are one day apart (Mine is May 30, hers is May 31). And we would go all the time. I love where we live now, but, Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm are what I miss most about Sunny SoCal!

I absolutely love Disney, too. Grew up in southern California, so went to Disneyland all the time as a kid. This past summer I went and saw all their tea stuff and freaked out!! Bought a glass tea press, but my cat ended up breaking it recently. Heartbroken :‘[
Anyway, I wasn’t a fan of this tea either haha.
