Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea!
This is really yummy. Delicious chai spices and the caramel sweetness is absolutely enchanting. This would be really easy to get addicted to!
OH! Eeeeek! I believe this has…expired…or something…oh well…it was my last lil bit before it was gone anyways. Rating based on last few attempts…
I managed to get a canister of this tea on sale at my local organic foods store which was lucky because it’s usually quite expensive and I likely wouldn’t have tried it otherwise.
I followed the steeping directions on the container that recommended 3/4 cup steamed (well heated in the microwave in my case) milk with 1 tbsp of the matcha powder, and I then filled the mug up the rest of the way with hot water. I didn’t wisk the matcha, I just made sure to stir it thoroughly with a spoon which seems to have gotten more or less the same result. The latte doesn’t look very matcha-ish being sort of an off-white colour, though there’s lots of nice froth on top – I love frothy lattes.
It’s a little bit short in the flavour department as the most prominent thing I can taste is the milk. Still I can tell that the matcha and chocolate are there – they’re just hiding. ;) The chocolate is the sort of flavour you’d find in a basic Cadbury hot chocolate mix, going for that sweet, milk chocolate flavour rather than the richer, bitter-sweet cocoa flavour. The grassy matcha is an interesting counterpoint to the chocolate – almost a yin to its yang or something silly like that.
This wasn’t bad at all for an experimental first cup, though next time I’ll add more of the powder and see if I can’t get more flavour out of it.
Backlog: I had some of this earlier this afternoon, even with its lack of caffeine, it is very energizing. And Yummy!!
Thanks to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me some of this tea.
This is yum! I had my doubts as I generally do when it comes to rooibos but this is really good. That being said, if you’re not into sweet drinks – this might not be for you. It is really sweet.
Vanilla taste with not a lot of rooibos aftertaste (which I like) and just a hint of rooibos nutty/woody taste. A very pleasant beverage – it would make a great dessert tea.

I am finishing off the last of what TeaEqualsBliss sent me of this today. I figure since I am at the tail end of whatever I had this past week and a half, it would be a good time to get some extra vitamin C, just in case whatever this was decides it wants to come back.
This reminds me a bit of Tang – or at least as I remember Tang since it’s been YEARS since I’ve had the stuff. Only it’s hot. It has the same citrus-y, sweet-tart taste, but with a surprising peppery kick at the end of the sip. I noticed last night that the peppery taste develops as I continued to sip, and by the time I made my way down to the bottom of the cup I had a nice pepper aftertaste that was really quite nice.
This tisane also did a nice job of helping to clear up the congestion which is still present. This is actually something I’m going to add to my mental shopping list… I think I would like to keep some of this on hand.
Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me this tea to try.
I probably should have had some of this a couple of days ago, but since I hadn’t yet tried it, I didn’t want to drink something while sick that I hadn’t yet tasted and reviewed. Yes, I am a tea reviewer first, and my illnesses come second to that. It’s one of the sacrifices I make for my tea reviewing.
This is actually quite tasty. As a dry powder, I do get the flintstone vitamin smell that TeaEqualsBliss described in her previous tasting note.
This is quite sweet, and very flavorful. It is one that even at my worst point, I would be able to taste which is a good thing. It tastes good hot and cold. The cayenne is not a powerful flavor, but I can feel the burn-tingle of it at the finish. It has a very citrus-y taste with a peppery ginger finish. I don’t get much in the way of rooibos taste, which is a good thing.
I like it!
I’m going to miss this SO MUCH!
Don’t know what you have til it’s gone!? OH! I KNOW what I had and it was wonderful!

It takes a lot but it’s worth it!
I should be bouncing off the walls with all the matcha I have been drinking today but so far I’m feeling pretty ‘normal’.

Some additional notes for this specific attempt:
I really think with this the MORE the merrier! I started off with 2 teaspoons and it was fairly pale and I would say I could pick up the cinnamon and a very little caramel. I added more and the sugary-likeness jumped in! I added even more and noticed the Nutmeg and Ginger more than I had in previous attempts! I would say my first attempt was my favorite attempt with this – it seems sweeter – but this was nice too! Rating stays the same.
SHAKE BEFORE YOU MAKE it says on the package…ok…I did…then after I thought it was safe to smell…I sniffed and the powder went right up my nose! LOL
Anyhow…smells like Vitamin C Flinstone Vitamins from when I was a kid. The taste is incredibly sweet – sugary – and citrusy-tart but very interesting and very much Vitamin C.
The taste is good but VERY powerful!!!! If you need a vitamin C kick – try this!
Semi Sugary-sweet, a good amount of Vanilla. VERY SMOOTH! Pretty tasty.
Yet another one i HAD to try ASAP and I’ll be brief yet tease you because I am going to post a FULL REVIEW later this week!!!
Aroma prior to whisk – Vanilla Hot Chocolate-type
After – Vanilla Rooibos
Color – cloud dark reddish brown
Taste – WOW! Not only is it rooibos sweet but it’s SUGAR Sweet! And a lovely Vanilla! This is very VERY sweet and sugary and treat-like! WOW!!!!!
JUST received this and HAD to try it! I’m going to feature a FULL REVIEW tomorrow on
http://sororiteasisters.com/
Some MISC notes here first…
Smell before infusing…Fall Spices, sugary-caramel, Chai-like, Hot chocolate smelling-almost
During – Fall Chai Latte-esque
Taste: Semi-sugary sweet caramel flavors, chai flavors
I’ve NEVER tasted anything like this…EVER. Thumbs up for that!!!!
I cannot lose this momentum while writing today so it’s on to the MATCHA!!!!!!!!
I added a splash of rice milk to this and it did make it a little more chocolate-like…moreso in the finish on to the aftertaste…
I’ve said it before and I will say it again…LiberTEAS spoils me!!!!!
I was very eager to try this!
I’m a bit confused but we will see if that turns to joy once I sip! The reason!? The color of this is much different that I expected! It looks like a cloudy milk…I was thinking it would look like chocolate milk or something…
Taste is fairly mellow and very milky and has a slight cocoa taste at the end of the sip and on to the after taste…
I think I am going to add more…
OH YEAH! That makes a difference! I started with a little over 1 TBS and added 2 more…it’s more than suggested as they suggest 1-2 T but I figured I would try 3!
The color is still milky but with a cocoa and greenish tint to it. The smell is like milk with a hint of chocolate.
The taste is still quite gentle on the chocolate but VERY Creamy/Milky! This is very, very tasty! Just wished it had more chocolate! BUT…I still like it A LOT!
I had a beautiful lunch out with my husband this afternoon, and this is the perfect dessert for afterward – smooth, creamy, chocolate-y matcha deliciousness.
So nice!
Enjoying a cup of this tonight. Rather than mix it up in my Chawan, I decided to put it in a regular mug and use my hand-held frother to blend it instead of my chasen… This produces a better latte drink because it is much frothier… much more like a latte.
The biggest problem with these latte mixes from Domo is that they are so yummy that they disappear before I even finish writing my tasting note.
OK… so about 10 days ago or so, I went on a sort of Matcha frenzy and ordered a bunch of different matcha teas. This is one of the teas that I ordered – and it arrived yesterday afternoon – much faster than I thought it would… and it arrived just in time for my taste buds to return to normal and now I can indulge in Matcha, Matcha, Matcha!
This is not a typical Matcha. It is more like a Matcha latte mix, much like the Pirate’s Chai that I love so much. (No, it doesn’t taste like the Pirate’s Chai, it is just a latte mix, much like the Pirate’s Chai) I added just a little hot water so that I could whisk it into a paste, and at that point, what was in my bowl smelled a lot like Ovaltine (did I spell that right?) After adding some steamed milk and whisking it again, it got all frothy and the Ovaltine smell sort of diminished.
It doesn’t taste like Ovaltine, it sort of tastes like hot chocolate that’s been mixed with Matcha. The chocolate is creamy and rich, like a smooth milk chocolate, and the matcha is vegetative and adds an interesting, fresh note to the bowl.
I really, really like – it’s now gone… and I didn’t even have time to start my review on the TRB. I guess I should go make another bowl. (Yeah, that’s why I’m making another bowl of it… yeah, that’s the ticket. I NEED to make another bowl so that I can write the review. Yeah, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it)
