A review of Korean Ginseng Tea by Wah po Trading Inc.

Company: Wah Po Trading Inc
Tea Name: Korean Ginseng
Tea Type/Varietal: herbal
Region: Korea
Steeping Vessel/Amt. Leaf: cup/ tea bag
Liquor Color: light honey color
Leaf Characteristics:

  1. Steepings

1st Steeping:
Water temperature: 200 Fahrenheit
Time: 2 minutes

I like having this tea for its sweetness and smoothness which I have when wanting a cup of milky honey tea. The tea is like the dews of a cantaloupe ripened just so; and very smooth (not mushy) but smooth from being ripened.

This is pure Korean ginseng tea made from original Korean ginseng roots. I dissolved one packet of this in hot water and stirred until all is mixed evenly. The color is lightly yellow/golden like that dew melon and smells of rich honey with a very firm creamy texture.

I mean this tea is amazing for such a small packet and simply made cup of tea. You sip the tea and it is sweetness that meets you and the ginseng plant adding to the enjoyment. This is another tea that I continue to enjoy and I am happy to have purchased and will continue to keep stock of and those similarly so.

I took two pouches of this tea and emptied it in my cup, adding the already boiled water to it I stir and stirred it until the contents dissolved mixing with the water in my cup. Tea smells of honey and cream; not quite cream-sickle like but close enough. It is the ginseng that I am met with upon sipping of this tea. Tea is very mild and smooth with a creamy/milky texture. I really like this tea for its simplicity and yet packing quite a lot. I mean there is pleasure derived or to be from drinking a cup of this.

Tea Name: Korean Ginseng

Region: Korea
Steeping Vessel/Amt. Leaf: fine granule powder
Liquor Color: light yellow/ honey
Leaf Characteristics:

1st Steeping:
Water temperature: 190 Fahrenheit
Time: 2 minutes

I dissolved one packet of the powder into my tea mug and add boiling water and stirring until mixture is dissolved. The tea’s color is honey with a milk and honey aroma. I am having this tea as my morning cup of tea and I find it most enjoying, it is not filling since tea is very light. It is like having a cup of chamomile tea without; this is how light and sweet this tea is. In all, this tea is sweet and light; with the ginseng taste to be like that of honey with a citrus base.

I dissolved two packets of the powder into my tea mug and add boiling water and stirred until mixture is dissolved. The tea’s color is light yellow, honey-like and smells kind of milky and honey. I take a sip and another sip; I find the tea to be very sweetly and light, tasting of honey dew melon with hint of ginseng. Weird!

The last Korean tea I had was their orange cream-sickle like tea and it was so yummy; it was matcha tea Korean style.

This ginseng tea is very simple and light= easy to prepare and could as easily be mixed into another tea to be used as sweetener. Perhaps I will try this with the matcha tea powder I have. Maybe?

I picked up a 16oz bottle of this from a Korean supermarket. The only added ingredient is vitamin C. When poured out of the aluminum bottle, the liquor has a peachy caramel color. This tea is gently sweet… almost oolong-like with a faint berry finish. It also smells faintly of kombucha! Good stuff, especially for a buck thirty a bottle.
