So I made a pot of this yesterday and then let it chill, with the intention of using it to make rice for dinner. I was interested to see what it would taste like to make rice using tea, especially a jasmine green tea. Well, the making did not happen until this morning, but it did happen! And with that rice, I drank the chilled leftover tea.
It has a distinct jasmine flavor, accompanied by a toasted taste that comes from green tea being heated too much.

After drinking Assam and Darjeeling for many years, this was a nice change. Jin Leung has a great taste and an earthly finish that is refreshingly different then the Indian teas.
