Drink T

This is a good Alishan. Slight vegetal smell with a sweet floral taste. Don’t go beyond 4 minutes especially for the first infusion as it gets bitter. I found subsequent steeps were sweeter then the first which had less astringency.

This makes a nice sweet ice tea too :) Important when you live somewhere hot like me.

This is a very nice black tea. The dry leaves are long needles with a nice smokey aroma. It steeps to a copper/brown color. The brewed smell is a soft floral-peach aroma with hints of smoke. It has a mild classic black tea taste with mild astringency. It takes good with or without milk and sugar.

This is a very yummy breakfast tea.

This is a really lovely Darjeeling. It is very smooth with notes of peach, honey, and cashew with just a hint of a malty-assam sort-of taste. It is light and smooth and tastes good with or without some sweetening.

It is a great afternoon pick-me up at that time of day around 3:30 when I just want to take a nap.

I purchased this as a sample because I was interested in it as it was described as new and it is very popular in Japan. I think it tastes great. It smells sweet and nutty. It has a wonderful light taste with notes of fruit, cashews, and honey. I really like this tea and will be buying more.
As far as the claims that it has a high GABA content which has a calming effect. I am not sure yet if I feel calmer after drinking it. I’ll have to drink more before making a determination.

A delicious papaya flavored green tea – subtle floral notes, sweet, juicy papaya and a light, buttery vegetative Sencha. Sweet and yummy!

Rooibos Toffee Tide is so satisfying. It was an important part of my 10 pound weight loss program as I headed down the pike to my 40th birthday. I don’t know if I could have made my weight loss goal so quickly without it.

This is the best Chai I’ve ever had!

I don’t remember a lot about this, since I finished up the sample a few days ago, but it was VERY buttery/thick and very tasty. :-)

This is my favorite tea for an afternoon pick-me-up. I add a drop or two of honey, and I don’t need to eat anything sweet. The aroma is so rich and fragrant. I’m hooked!

I love the smooth almost silky mouth feel of this tea. The flavors are gentle and delicate yet flavorful. I am not a fan of teas that are over-flavored because I like the taste of tea and this tea will not disappoint.

I love good chai teas and this is no exceptions. It starts with a good quality black tea balanced with eastern spices, vanilla and hints of citrus. Its important that you can taste the base tea and the spices work with, but not overpower, the tea.

This is one of my favorite green teas. It has a pure complex full flavor.

This surprising tea expanded my thinking about what tea drinking can be. I enjoyed the novel, unique taste.

This is a rich smokey flavor that you will enjoy if you like a strong tea. Love this!

Green tea is has always been a favorite of mine and the Pi Lo Chun was so wonderfully delicious. Very light, clean and refreshing, this tea is delightful any time of the day. If you enjoy green teas, try this one.

I feel so accomplished when I correctly guess which teas are in a blend! I knew there was Keemun in this one from the scent of the dry leaf, and the smell of the brewed tea has that honey note you get from Assam sometimes and the pure “black tea” flavor I get from Ceylon.

This isn’t quite smooth enough to drink plain, but it makes a very full-flavored classic English Breakfast with a bit of milk (sugar would go well too, I’m sure). I like it, but I think I’ve been spoiled by the complexity of my recent morning staple, Rishi’s China Breakfast. This is a more straightforward black tea blend, but nice and strong.

This is a lovely Oolong – light and refreshing for this time of the evening. These tightly wound pellets haven’t even STARTED to unfurl after a reawakening rinse and 2 infusions! Lots more infusions to follow!

Delightful. I love the buttery taste as it mingles with the slightly sharp floral tones of this tea. It is smooth and rich and delicious.

And it does have a nice mouthfeel (sorry TeaEqualsBliss!) that lingers long after the finish.

The honey flavor is very pleasant… I like the way it melds with the vegetative taste of the mate. It is a very nice cuppa!

This has a really lovely flavor. The dry leaves are HUGE! The aroma is quite vegetative. The flavor is lightly sweet – it is a delicate sweetness that is quite refreshing! There is a citrus note in the finish too. And… even though the description from Drink T says only 1 infusion, the leaves look as though they can submit to at least 1 – if not more – additional infusion(s).

My last cup of this sample from LiberTEAS. This cup seems a bit spicier than the others…I’m betting a bit of the spices settled in the bag to give my last cup some pow. Still very good; love the vanilla in this.

Apparently I’m in a chai mood. Since most of the ones I’ve tried today have been great, I’m going to keep trying them (and I have quite a few tucked into my box o’ samples). This is another one from LiberTEAS. If I didn’t know better, I’d say she was trying to convert me into a chai fanatic!

This one is very mild on the spices. They’re still there and are in the fore of the flavors, but are not overpowering or intimidating at all. The vanilla and the citrus are great, making it a smooth cuppa. I really like the thought of having vanilla in chai…makes me want to experiment with making my own!

If someone had a fear of chais (like I do? used to?), this would be a perfect gateway chai to introduce to them. I’d highly recommend this one to any tea drinker, and even a few non-tea drinkers.
