I nabbed a teabag of this to try from my Gram’s house.   VERY tiny leaves of green tea in this teabag.  The dry scent is very vegetal.  The flavor is all (good) seaweed and veggies. The description says the source of the tea is Darjeeling, which seems unique for a green tea.  It isn’t the worst tea, but if I steep up a green tea, I’d rather it be a great one, like a green tea from Teavivre or similar.   I admire that they are trying to help farmers, but that might not be enough for my tastebuds.   I wish I had more to say about this one.  At least they are trying to Do Good.

Found this on a great sale and was excited to try it. The green tea is too bitter for me. I did not notice the jasmine flavor.

I was pleasantly surprised by this guy, In a teabag no less. Fresh, kicky bergamot aroma and flavor through the whole cup. I didn’t taste any licorice like some other tasters, which is good. Bergamot and licorice separate please. Took milk well and I probably overstepped it too, but still good.

I found the smell of the tea the most pleasant aspect. It wasn’t overly perfumey like some newer Earl Greys. It had a hint of anise or licorice mixed in with the bergamot. The actual flavor of this tea was serviceable but not as robust as I look for in Earl Grey. It’s not a bad tea at all, just not among the best in a category of tea that has so many contenders.

I don’t remember trying any Irish tea,s. I picked this out because I don’t have any black teas at the moment and they are great for rough mornings. Never bought this brand before but I love that it is organic and fair trade. And it was on sale. It’s pretty good, makes a great sweet tea, but doesn’t stand up to milk and sugar as well as some other black teas. I get two solid brews out of it. Overall, I like it.

Nothing special about this green tea – it’s not bad but it’s not top shelf either. Organic and fairtrade. Steeped a bag at approx 180 F for 3 minutes. Note based on multiple tastings. If you are just looking for a base green tea in the mornings that’s not fancy, but is sufficient this is it.

I have tasted this tea multiple times and do not detect any vanilla. It is also not as strong in rooibos flavor as their Organic Rooibos. I am a huge fan of real vanilla and was very disappointed. I will not be ordering this tea again.

This is my favorite rooibos. Organic and fair trade. I have tried many and this has an amazingly well-balanced flavor. Only wish it would be available in loose leaf form, as I do not like the waste of tea packaging. This is also my go-to tea daily because I need not add honey to it – it already has an inherent sweetness and never becomes bitter – and that is appealing to me because I live a low-sugar lifestyle.

This blend is pretty good, but it’s not the best jasmine green tea I’ve ever had. The jasmine was overwhelming at first, but I noticed it less the more I drank it. This would be a great blend to introduce someone to green tea with, as it’s not overwhelmingly earthy and the jasmine adds a lot of sweetness. And I appreciate that this tea is fair trade and organic — I wish more tea was.

Picked this one up from one of the local markets. I’d originally planned to get this for a road trip. It has a very mild bergamot scent. There really isn’t much in the flavour either. Does seem like something I’d have while traveling.

Refreshing in its simplicity. This is simply peppermint steeped in hot water. It should be boring. It should disappoint, but it is absolutely invigorating.

It looks like I need to stock up! Good thing I just received a 30% off coupon for Ten Thousand Villages.

You just can’t improve on good strong peppermint.

It will definitely be a go to tea when I need a little comfort. What is your favorite comfort tea?

gmathis

Just one? :) To de-clench after a screamer day, tulsi (holy basil) is my go-to. I buy it bulk at local health food grocer. For caffeinated comfort, good, strong PG Tips with milk.

My default black tea at work. Has a nice robust flavor and is forgiving of being left to steep forever. Nothing fancy, just straight black tea. I like that it’s fair trade.

A good, calming, afternoon-in-the-office kind of tea. Not hugely remarkable, but solid.

This is a solid breakfast tea. Fairly smooth, though a little bland. Very good with a touch of honey.
