The little blue cornflowers in this tea make it look really special. It’s nicely balanced too, a good blend with just the right amount of bergamot. Great with lemon!

these pearls were the worst yet Ive tasted. Fake and chemically, there was something not right in the green tea (not white tea like one lady in the staff tried to convince me)

drank Bouteaque Blue Mist by Eteaket

Bouteaque Blue Mist is one of the tea’s that Erika prides herself on discovering. Her staff will go on and on about how many awards it has won, and granted finding a Nilgiri tea un-scented now a days is rather unique. However that being said Nilgiri’s aren’t really known for their distinctive flavours, the opposite, they were predominately used for bases of flavoured and scented teas.

For being a black, the first time i had this tea I was severely disappointed in it. Lowering the temperature did significantly help this tea, and did help to bring out some subtle flavours that had otherwise gone un-noticed.

Is it worth the price? probably not. Is it worth a try, most likely in the sense to try a tea that often times gets over looked.

*edit I just made the perfect pot, Bouteaque Blue Mist, why must you be so temperamental. (but oh the roses and flowers that were the essence of the tea!)

So soothing and relaxing. I love jasmine. Love it. The green tea is light and lush, and the jasmine is soft and sweet. A delightful jasmine pearl.

drank Chilli Rooibos by Eteaket

This is quite yummy. Dry, it smells like cherry and spicy chili with a faint woody tone from the rooibos. Brewed, I can still smell the notes of the cherry and chili and rooibos, but they have become more “meshed” together into a unified scent and it is difficult to pick out the individual fragrances.

The beginning of the sip starts out sweet with a carrot-y note. The carrot is so slight that I can only taste it just at the start of the sip, before any of the other flavors have a chance to develop. Once the cherry hits the palate, the carrot disappears. The cherry is sweet and delicious, and lingers throughout the sip, from just after the start to well into the aftertaste. The chili weaves itself in and out, leaving a slight “burn” type of feel on the back of the tongue. This burning sensation lasts well into the aftertaste also. It isn’t an unpleasant burn, it’s a rather intriguing one. The contrasts between sweet and spicy are very beautiful in this blend.

Even though I could smell the rooibos, I can’t really taste much of the rooibos. I’m just fine with that, though!

This is delightful. Such a smooth and creamy Oolong with a nice vegetative note. Sweet and delicious.

I’m off to write a review of this one for the SororiTea Sisters – it will publish in a few days!

I decided to really push the envelop today and try this X4. I infused for a shorter time but ended up using approx 3+ tablespoons of the pearls. And you know what…it’s not bad! It’s a nicely flavored green tea and real-tasting jasmine not bitter or astringent or fake or chemical tasting! This is nicely done and takes a nice beating! Hard to over infuse!

I had a couple of cups of this with dinner tonight (two infusions), and it is just as marvellous as it was the first time I tried it. I really like this one a lot. My full-length review of this tea can be read here: http://www.teareviewblog.com/?p=14803

After that horrible, horrible Sweet Yerba Mate (Samovar), I decided to brew something that I knew I would like, and this was what I grabbed.

Yes! I am getting more strawberry this time than in previous infusions, and it’s quite lovely. I did steep it a little longer than usual, although I am not sure how long, because I forgot to set the timer… perhaps that’s why this turned out more strawberry? I don’t know.

Anyways, even though I did steep it longer, there is no sign of bitterness or off taste. It is just… blooming marvellous!

Yum! A really nice strawberry and vanilla green tea. The Sencha is very smooth and rich.

Such a delicious tea.

The Sencha tea is rich tasting and buttery – it coats the palate with that creamy smooth texture. This is enhanced further with the vanilla in the blend. Sweet!

The flowers do not add a LOT of flavor to the cup, but, I can taste pleasantly delicate notes of sunflower and rose. Then there is the sweet-tart taste of berry … strawberry! YUMMY!

I’m not going to lie…this one freaks me out on so many levels!

BUT…here-goes!

This smells like cherries and chilli!

The orange-ish brown color is neat tho!

Now for the taste…I under infused…
I taste carrots first with a little bit of chili followed by a lingering cherry. WOW…this one is VERY unusual but oddly pleasant. As it cools I can taste more floral notes at the beginning of the sip an then it morphs into a carrot and cherry combo – not so much chili – but like I said I under infused. I am thinking the chili will get stronger as you infuse but I kind of like it under infused as is. Not bad. Extra points for surprising me so!

I smell melon! This is very clean and pretty smelling! Once it has time to infuse a little I can pick up more of the floral and sweet grass aromas underneath too! VERY Clean and Smooth on the tongue. The aftertaste is sweet-grass meets citrus-melon meets fresh spring bouquet! Nice!

Deliciously fruity. Enjoying this with my dinner – which is spicy – and I like how it soothes the palate.

YUM!

This is really good. There is a strong citrus aroma and flavor to it, but not too strong. It’s more like the flavor of citrus but without the tart that usually accompanies it. Sweet and smooth.

The green tea has a buttery taste to it, and I’m not picking up much of a vegetal or grassy essence here.

I’m really liking this a lot, and am glad that I have a reasonable amount of it so that I can enjoy it again soon.

My personal favorite adjective is “freaking” or “frickin’”…I say it prior to describing something way too often! When I saw the name of this green tea I said to myself…self I said…“this would be a great substitute for freaking of frickin’ – I just might start walking around saying…”That movie was blooming marvellous!" or “I feel blooming marvellous today, don’t you?” And YES this is spelled with 2 L’s. It must make the meaning more magnified! LOL – Anyways…I really DO like this tea! It’s lovely! It’s a sweet and juicy green tea and the fruit in it is juicy, fruity, sweet, slightly tart but in a good way, pure, and fresh! This one makes my mouth water! YUM!!!!

What an incredibly relaxing tea to sip this evening. The fruity notes in this tea are significant especially for a white tea. Hints of citrus and melon, as well as a distant spice note in the background.

A truly delicious tea!

Delish!

The needles are so soft and fuzzy. They have a very soft fragrance that smells fresh – with hints of grass and flowers.

I can taste the citrus and melon notes as noted in the description. The flavor is very delicate. It has a very smooth, appealing sweetness. Very good.

I’m unable to locate this one on their website, however, this smells different, but good. Kind of smells a little mint chocolaty with pepper, fruit, and green tea, with maybe lemongrass, and lemon and orange. YES…I am picking up on all of that! LOL

Tastes ok. I had a HUGE slice of citrus in my steepage…not totally sure if it was orange or lemon…but it was good. I can taste both. I am getting a little bitterness under the green tea and citrus and a bit of peppery taste as well.
