I love this tea! Though it is hard to get one’s hands on it… The powder whisks up beautifully and has a very full body, especially when compared to other Kyoto Prefecture-based maccha producers. This tea is grown entirely in Kyoto, to my knowledge, and that is very rare. All that said, it is not your standard maccha, with full body and big green umami, and may not appeal to those who have already decided that they like another company’s tea.

It is very mild and does not have much flavor, but I am probably making it too light as that is how I like my other green teas. I will keep experimenting.
A nice green shade but not intensely bright. Love that it smells both vegetal and a bit like cocoa. Not a very thick liquor but has a nice bite and is mouth-filling.
Used a temperature of 71°C/160°F and whisked for 30 seconds.
