jump62359 sent this one to me in our swap and it’s a tasty one! I love getting teas from local shops in swaps, since they don’t always have an online presence. This is a really tasty black. it’s not super bold but there’s no astringency and it has a smooth profile to it. It’s different from most of my black teas, being neither malty like some or fruity/juicy like my taiwanese blacks. It also resteeped well, allowing me to have a couple of cups in this very busy day. thanks for sharing this one! I feel like i have some digging to do to find out more about this tea haha

I do really like this tea a lot! But I’m intrigued. The only information I can find on this is linked to their tea shoppe. The next time I visit, I’ll probably ask the owner about it or something :)
Glad you enjoyed this tea!

let me know what you find out heh

A sipdown of one of my most favourite black teas! Not too bold, but not bland at all. Just the perfect balance!
Now I just have to phone my cousin so she can get me more!

Still remains to be one of my favourite black teas! The liquor definitely isn’t as dark as other black teas, it does take more of a light amber colour. I love how smooth it is, and it’s not bitter at all!
Running low on this, and just one more cup and I’m done :( Ahh well, looks like I’m going to have my cousin get me some of this! Julie’s is the cutest little coffee and tea place in the entire world and they’re only in her town. Dang.

I was really craving black tea for some reason, and this tea in particular!
It’s a nice black, definitely unique compared to some others that I’ve had. A bit more mellow than usual with a nice rounded flavour, and it resteeps really well!
I’m flying home this weekend for my sister’s graduation, so I’m going to see if I can squeeze a trip to Julie’s to get some more of this tea, as well as some of their others. If I can go into the city that’d be great, but highly unlikely. Dang.

I’m kinda thankful that I like my tea not as strong as usual. I know this isn’t how you’re like supposed to brew tea, but this is how I like it to my preferences so it works :) I drink my tea in large mugfuls which usually last me a good 30-45 minutes for each steeping.

Had a very citrusy tea earlier, and now it’s time for a nice black tea!
Never had a persian tea before, but I picked this up at a cutie patootie Tea place that my aunt took me to and this was the one tea that I did not recognize! For a small coffee and tea place, they had quite a lot of different teas.
My first Persian tea and it’s quite nice!

The leaves are BEAUTIFUL. Nice and long and unravels nicely. It tastes like a typical black tea, but I don’t need to sweeten it or anything. It smells nice and bright. It had a very unique smell in the canister and that’s what first drew me it. I decided to get on oz of this tea to take home and I finally got to try it today! Bright dry smell, but definitely takes the qualities of a black tea when it steeps.
I feel like this is the kind of tea that resteeps very nicely. Forgot to add water to my kettle so right now it’s steeping in like 5 oz of water hahah. Ahh well. This is definitely one of my favourite purchases! Especially since it’s from an independent coffee and tea store, and it’s a tea that I’ve never had.

11/10 would recommend :)
Definitely going to pick more of this the next time I visit!!

Backlog!

Oh gosh. I have so many teas to backlog from yesterday.
I finally had that massive tea day yesterday. Spent well over $100 of tea at Lupicia and DAVIDs because when else am I going to be able to do that? Ahh well, I have a butt ton of tea now, and I was able to get free tea from DAVIDs because the lady who was helping me was like super nice and ahhh I had a great day yesterday :)

So pretty much, My cousin took her driver’s test yesterday AND SHE PASSED! So we celebrated at Julie’s with breakfast and tea. I shared a pot of their Lapsang and it was actually pretty good! I’m actuallly starting to like Lapsang now. Adagio’s Lapsang is a bit.. weird. But the others that I’ve tried are nice :)

Lapsang was prepared in store. Cutest little tea place ever and I’m definitely going back :)
