Kind of doesn’t smell or taste like anything. Can steep multiple times with virtually same result.

Continuing on my green tea kick… I honestly can’t tell this is a darjeeling. It’s just another green tea to me. Not bad. Not great.

Sipdown, 182 (oh, samples, you increase my cupboard so). Cold brew. This tea came to me thanks to Tea Sipper!

I decided to cold brew this one after realizing I had just the right amount of leaf. I love a simple jasmine cold brew and this one was pretty nice. When I first tried it I thought it was too strong, but in later sips it mellowed out somehow. It was vegetal but not too grassy, and the jasmine was appropriately the most dominant flavor. This was a tasty tea to have with my lunch.

Thanks again to TeaEqualsBliss for the package of teas! I love jasmine! But seeing this as a green tea and thinking about it, I might have ZERO green teas in my stash! That is by accident, I think! I like green teas but I like the flavor of red, oolong and black teas better. This one isn’t bad. It definitely has that vegetal taste that the description above mentions. I can’t taste too much of a jasmine flavor or scent. I may have oversteeped. Even when it cooled I couldn’t taste it! But it’s nice to have a green tea in my stash for once!

The jasmine is light both on the nose and tongue, but is still present.
The green tea is sweet and produces a darker liquid then most green teas, I am wondering if this is because the leaves are partially fermented?

I’ve always wanted to understand people’s fascination with Darjeelings. It sounds so tasty and exotic when others write about it. But my palate just isn’t suited for black teas and I can’t tell what the big deal is. Then TeaEqualsBliss sends me this Darjeeling, except it’s a green tea! Wow!

I had a whole glass of it, but I wasn’t paying attention because my husband was telling me about this movie he saw, and then we had a debate on something, and then my cup was empty. oops. Next time I’ll pay more attention!

From what I gathered though, this tea was a little woodsy and toasty, but also grassy. It reminded me a bit of Japanese greens, but not so smooth and brothy. This tea had a light sparkling quality. My husband tried a sip and said it tasted like black tea. I think I’m making some real progress with this guy! wooo!

Oooopsy! Totally forgot about this one! It’s never been opened…so…I will try it now…send a small sample to Courtney and then the rest to LiberTEAs!

I remember having a hard time with two or three other Bi/Chun’s in the past but this one looks and smells different so I’m optimistic!

It tastes…WOW!!! It tastes lovely! It’s a sweet-green veggie type taste! It has natural hints of lemon, it seems, too! A delight! I was assuming it was going to be overly grassy like the last one I had from a different company but it’s completely different! This is a nice surprise!

I received this in a swap. I can’t remember who sent this to me, but I managed to get several steeps from this! Thank you! It has the typical metallic, light, peppery taste to it. I like this black tea since I don’t need to have any additives in this. It tastes good with or without milk or sugar. This is a nice, light tea.

I like it! Nice bold black tea, nice bergamot although it’s weird to brew it only for 3 minutes. I usually brew my E.G.‘s from 5-8 mins. Just can’t get enough of EG so in love!

This is my first “real” experience with green tea. Meaning something other than the green tea with citus that’s sold bottled in stores hahaha. But I was feeling brave after meditating this afternoon…

I was a little worried regarding green teas because I always imagined they’d just taste like chewing grass or something. Well there is definitely a plant-y flavor here, but it’s not the bad taste I was expecting. Not sure really what to make of it yet, but I’m interested.

I think I’ll have to add another tasting note to this one after I’ve got a few more greens under my belt. Thankfully Anne was very generous with my sample :)

It’s been a hellish day! The 2nd infusion is very nice, too! See previous notes. The differences in the 2nd infusion is that it’s a bit woodsier and a little sweeter, more earthy but still not grassy! I like it! I might like the 2nd infusion better than the first :)

I have been eye-balling this one for a while now and obtained a bit of it from a non-steepster friend.

The first word that came to mind while trying to think of a word to describe the color was HONEY. Yes…the color is very honey-like. The aroma is that of a gentle green tea and a mead-type aroma – or honey – but not a sweet honey.

The taste is a bit dry with a slightly sweet end sip. It’s fairly earthy but not grassy per say. The best part of this tea is the hand twisted leaves…they are screaming multiple infusions so I am going to do at least one more after this :)

This is not actually my first time tasting this tea, I had my first cup a few days ago, and have had a cup of this every day since… this is just my first time logging it.

This is lovely… it’s incredibly smooth and it possesses a very nice flavor. Not quite as “light” in flavor as a typical Ceylon, but not as hefty as an Assam… somewhere right in between. One of those pleasant, comforting kind of teas. Very nice.
Sigh another teas that is missed because LeafSpa is no longer with us.

I love honey and vanilla, white tea naturally is sweet too. This tea makes a really good combination of ingredients. I really enjoyed this cup.

I’m in one of those not-paying-attention modes today. I started with this tea, courtesy of LiberTeas in the HoppiTea tea exchange.

It clearly says 180/2-3 min on the package, but I steeped it at 205(96C)/1.5 min. The funny thing is that this tea, instead of being wretchedly bitter, is amazingly good. It’s a really vegetal, really creamy tasting tea. It’s not a sweet tea by any means, but it’s very complex nonetheless. The tea starts out slightly bitter (probably my fault), but then blossoms into this intensely creamy, vegetal flavor that mellows out and lingers for a while. I wish that I hadn’t used the entire sample for this one, but it’s too late now.

Alright, I don’t like mint teas on the whole. But when I opened up my sampler from iHeartTeas.com last night, this knocked me backwards with how strongly awesome it smelled. It was the first to be sampled.

It was really good. I’ve been steering clear of red rooibos as I got sick of it, but it’s mostly obscured here by richly delicious chocolate and nicely fresh-tasting mint. Still not my favourite combination, but really nicely done and a great chocolate tea.
