the first tin of Bogart we bought in San Fran is gone. I think that’s a record for this household. It’s also the first loose-leaf tea that my husband drank more of than I did. But I got the last cup today :-)

Oh, this sounds good! I’ll need to go to Leland Tea again soon, it’s been a while!

The first tea of 2013 (also my fave tea of 2012)! Glad to be spending a restful New Year’s Day with my husband, and starting it with a mug of Bogie for each of us.

A quiet morning with Bogart and a book is just the thing after a long evening of socializing, eating and drinking. :-)

I am so glad we made it to Leland. Bogart was everything I imagined! My husband and I shared a pot and both loved it. I bought the large tin ( actually 2 smalls since they were out of large, which is even better for freshness sake.) they were packed full too ( but not to the point of crushing the leaves)

Ooooo I looked up the flavors in this – sounds amazing! Added to my shopping list.

There are those of us who are rock-solid convinced that a tea shouldn’t be left longer than a few months, then there are those of us who are equally rock-solid convinced that if you store a tea decently and love it well, it can go to infinity.

This one is pretty solid proof of the latter train of thought. Somewhere over the years, I moved it from a baggie to a tight jar; it had woogled down at the bottom of my Great Big Bin O’ Odds and Ends, and this morning, it was sweet, pleasantly vanilla scented, and absolutely drinkable.

Just because something’s been buried doesn’t mean life is over yet ;) ….Happy Easter, all!

maybe a food vacuum-sealer is a good idea for tea storage?

Love it!

Woke up craving “sweet” and this was a good alternative to a Twinkie for breakfast :) Good basic vanilla black. Might hold its own against Vanilla Comoro, which I know is the gold standard for many of you out there.

This one hasn’t been stored well or wisely—just in a baggie, but even so, it’s got a nice smooth black tea base and medium-strong vanilla flavor. Not cloying, just gentle and pleasant. I suspect it’ll blend well with lots of odds and ends.

Joy to you today. Yeah, even on a Monday.
