Current time is 6:30 a.m. Current temprature is 77 degrees outside, 83 in my house, because the world is terrible.
Current (and possibly only) tea is Yume, one of the Lupicia holiday offerings that I like to drink in the summer time.
I am already sweating. I am already uncomfortable. And later today I need to drive a long distance in a car with a wonky air conditioner.
Uuuugh.
Even the soft fruit and rose flavors of this tea will not help, and I sincerely doubt I’ll be able to bring myself to drink more tea today.
Tea of my morning and a sipdown.
I am so fond of this candyish black tea blend, and not just because it comes in a tin with waving cats on it.
As always its a bit sad when its sipped down, but I have so many other teas to drink, its all for the best to get it down.
A repeater for sure. I can’t wait for the next decorative tin of this comes out!
Sipdown.
Tea of the morning. I got to brew a small pot. I love pots of tea, they are just so satisfying.
Getting towards the end of this, which is to be expected, and someways desired, but still also kinda sad. I love this one (not the least because the tin has waving cats on it), but I am also gunning for sipdowns.
I think another small pot will kill this off. Maybe later this week?
Its Monday! Its a Monday on a weird week, with tomorrow being off (I’m in the States, so tomorrow is a holiday), but then back in after that.
I wanted something uncomplicated today, something that I know what the outcome of brewing it was, so I grabbed this.
It was light, springy, and just generally nice today.
Ahh. Tea.
I think the 4th should be from like Thursday through to Tuesday. I bet if there were some sort of sport hoopla around this time, it would be. More advertising to do, more nachos to make, and more wings to eat. And bbq. :)
I woke and knew instantly, without even leaving the comfort of my bed, that it has begun. Its nearly summertime here. It will top out at 92 degrees today.
Blegh. Bah! Booo!
I was born in a warm climate, and have lived here most of my life, and I hate it. I don’t do well in the heat, and the summer weather will last until around November. Grrr.
Its hard to drink hot tea in the summer, but I try to get around this by having summer flavors. It was time to open the tin of Yume.
Its not as good as I remember, but I still love this one. Its light, fresh and fun, and kicks off warm weather tea drinking.
Its going to be nearly 100 degrees again today. Bleh. So, while I am ready for fall, the weather is not.
But, its a perfect chance to sip down some of my more “springy” teas, which is exactly what I will do.
I love Yume, I really do. I can see how its not exactly everyones thing, but to me its a springy, fun tea, and I love having it in the warmer times of the year.
However, today I have sipped it down, and may that be an omen of cooler weather to come.
Whew! Its Wednesday, but it doesn’t feel like it.
I had a very busy three day weekend. I went to an archery range for the first time, and I love it! My anniversary present from my significant other was a bow and arrows, and I had such a good time that we’re going back again soon.
So my Steeping was light this weekend, but I’m happy to be getting back into the flow of it.
This is the end of my packet of Yume. Its one of my favorite springtime teas, and I’m sorry to see it go, but I’m excited to have another sipdown! I’m getting closer and closer to my sipdown goal. I’m trying to reach it before I go to NYC this summer, as I’d like to buy some tea when I’m there!
Ooof, what a morning. And I understeeped this tea. Bleh!
I had a double shift this morning, and now need to go to the auto parts store, work out, and complete two online work trainings, before going back for the evening shift. Grrr. This is gonna suck.
But! At least I have tea, and I can work on sipdowns!
I underbrewed this today. Sloppy of me, but I wasn’t watching the clock. So its a ghost of its true flavor. Blast.
Happy Mothers day, to all who celebrate it! My mother and I are doing our tradition, of going to a local festival and shopping. Hooray for a girls day!
This is one of my favorite spring teas. Really light and pleasant. I’m almost through this packet, which is sad, but hey, that’s gotta happen sometime.
Its going to be close to 90 degrees today. Booo! Its March, that’s absurd! In all ways absurd!
Ugh, I hate summer (especially when its supposed to be spring). I’ve never done well in the heat, I burn like paper, and its too hot for tea! Aaaah!
So a “warm weather” blend, which is to say a tea that I feel is more appropriate for warm weather than cold weather, which is fruitier blends, and florals.
Today things call for strawberry, cream and roses. Yum.
Happy first day of spring!
Nothing for it, but to rummage through my cupboard for the springiest tea in my possession, which is this, as far as I’m concerned.
Strawberry, vanilla and rose petals, its light, delicate, and just so darn cheerful. I’m very fond of it- its hard to be sad when drinking this tea, even if I do have to go to work soon.
How am I going through my teas so very quickly? How have I managed that? Gah! This is my last pot of Yume until I can get myself to a Lupicia and get more tea.
How my world has changed! When I started on Steepster, I had about 20 teas, which I considered excessive. Now, even though I’m actively trying to control my numbers, I still have double that now. Its funny how, now, I stare at the tea in my kitchen, saying to myself “I have nothing to drink!” Ha.
Yume is a delightful spring cup, creamy and strawberry like. I enjoy it very much indeed. But this is the end of this tin. I’ve just been breezing through the Lupicia teas this year.
Sipdown.
More writer juice! Moar!
I’m almost out of this too. Yeesh, I’m just powering through my rose teas this spring! A Lupicia order may be required very soon.
Trying to figure out if the store is open. I suddenly got a yen to cook a quiche, and I dont have all the ingredients. I also want to figure this out without putting on my clothes and going out, though. Things are so nice here in my robe.
Well, I’ve got a thousand words to write still anyway.
When I’m in a Nanowrimo session I tend to think of my tea as “writer juice,” like, “oh, time to do some writing, let me brew up some writer juce so I can get down to it.” Its so helpful, having a delicious cup at my side as I hash out plot and try to name all my characters.
This is a good one. Soft, creamy, and a delight to sip. Puts me in a good mood.
Back to writing!
Backlogged from yesterday.
It was one of those days with only a single pot of tea, so I decided the delicious, creamy cloud that is Yume was the one to do.
I wrote a lot for camp, got my hair cut, went to work, and went to a Disney movie viewing party (Mulan and Frozen), which was all delightful. But busy.
My weekend was lovely. I saw two great shows, had delicious meals, and a lot of very good shopping.
But now its Monday, and back I go to the grind.
Well, lets start out with a cup of something very nice.
Today this is extra vanilla-y and creamy. Yum.
First day of spring tea continues!
This blend, with its strawberries and roses and vanilla, just screams spring time for me. Light and soft and delicious. My hand automatically pulled it off the cupboard today. Perfection on this splendid day. The weather is just as perfect as it should be for the first day of spring!
Sipdown. Cue the soft weeping.
Yume is a much beloved blend by me. The strawberry and vanilla walk hand in hand of deliciousness.
However, it is a summer/springy tea in my mind, and I’m on buying hiatus. When I do another order, I shall get some yume again. Absolutly. Bye bye for now, pretty tea.
You will have to imagine a contented sigh. I really like Yume, its a sweet balance of strawberry and vanilla, which are some of my favorite flavors.
This is going to be the start of my day. My day is going to be such that I might not get another cup of tea today (horrors!), so made sure that the cup that starts off my day is something I really like.
Off I go to start my day!
Ah. Ahhhh. This is the stuff. Yume was an impulse buy, and I should listen to that impulse all the time. This is wonderful, simply marvelous. Fruity and light and simply wonderful. I am working on a month long 50000 word writing project, and my writings are always powered by tea. This is the perfect pot to start off this novel. Yume has beautiful fruit and vanilla flavors, though I don’t get much of the rose out of it. Yum!
A Lupicia store recently opened here in Singapore so I went down to have a look. When I asked the manager (who is also the one who brought the brand here) for a recommendation for something that goes well with milk, this was one of her recommendation.
And it was certainly a good one! I first took a sip of it without adding anything, and was surprised by how sweet it was. It certainly goes well with milk, like what the manager said. It smelled sweet like butter cookies, so much so that I was surprised to see almond in the ingredients list.XD It’s currently my favourite tea to drink in the morning!
