This tea mixes the flavors perfectly as each element can be tasted on its own while simultaneously blending so harmoniously as to create a lovely tea. The base is mild leaving plenty of room for the other flavors to shine. There is a sweetness from the berries that contrasts quite well the the more savory notes of lavender and peppercorn. The lavender is definitely the standout in the mix, which for me isn’t a positive, but for those that like these flavors, I can see this being rather enjoyable. This reminds me of a spa tea which is guess is a good thing coming from a company called “My Beauty Tea”. So, what all this boils down to is that this is a lovely tea, just not flavors I personally look for so my sample is more than enough.

I think this was much better as a hot brew. As a cold brew the candied pineapple is taking over and contributing a significant amount of sweetness as to make this a bit cloying. Plus, the apple is more present while the hibiscus is completely absent which means there is more sweetness and less flavors to make this well rounded. Also, the coconut is doing that lotion thing that it tends to do, something that didn’t happen in the hot brew.

So I got in from Florida last night and today I spent my day at Bridal shows. First I had to walk the Canadian Bridal Show which lacked cake samples (the reason I agreed to go with my sister) but was rich in horrid wedding dresses (https://instagram.com/p/BAVDn5OPJewSMAhYNV9YsljZIWWNtNZ6M3Zepc0/). Then, she made me go to ANOTHER show but this one was a soft open type deal that only had industry professionals tonight and tomorrow it is open to the public. Consequently, in addition to all the tasty offerings from the food vendors there, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were passed around. We also got swag bags and inside my sister found this tea.

I don’t know what’s in it other than knowing it’s a fruit blend with orange peel, candied pineapple, hibiscus, and I am guessing coconut from the smell. There is other stuff in the blend as well though I am not sure what it is. Nonetheless, this smells amazingly like a piña colada and at first taste it tastes identical to the smell (a rare find). However, as I continue drinking, the taste builds up on my tongue and can get a bit sweet and monotone. If I take a break, after the initial sweetness, a bit of the hibby tartness comes through. It’s actually quite nice and the company gave a decent sample size do the other 2 tsps are cold brewing for the morning.
