Drinking this at Common Roots. Good black tea for a dreary Monday.

Enjoying this tea once again. Nothing better than a delicate green before stepping out into this windy weather we are having here in the northeast.

I ran out of green tea (gasp) and grabbed this at Whole Foods to hold me over. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. It was floral and nutty at the same time. I drank a whole testubin full :)

Bright and tasty, note of seaweed and light fruit nots like kiwi fruit or something I couldn’t put my finger on it to save my life.

Loved it!, I got sick and decided to have this tea by itself, it was like having espresso with caramelized sugar notes.

I did this tea as a celebration of the first episode of GTTV. I was so bummed how bad it was, I had the 2008 vintage, and it was bitter , very bitter, needed more aging, damp soil and mushroom notes on mid-back palate.

I love this tea! its sweet yet complex, good memories…

I scored this a 90-95 on an episode of GTTV, Great seaweed notes upfront,more of a floral back end of it. A pleasant cuppa!

I should have tried jasmine tea from other companies before I tried this one they are all a disappointment now. Awesome tea though.

This was one of the most perfectly blended black-lemon iced teas I have ever tasted. I was very pleased that the lemon didn’t overwhelm the flavor of the black tea. I like my tea unsweetened, but you could definitely sweeten it without weakening the flavor.

Mmm, this is great after dinner too. I’m already dreading the day that I run out.

Also, we rolled out a few minor bugfixes and updates to Steepster this evening. The most noticeable thing is that the “recent activity” items that used to be on the side in your dashboard are now rolled into the main column. Let us know what you think!

As the leaves are steeping, the aroma reminds me of fresh, steamed corn on the cob. I’m getting a little bit of chestnut as well, and taste-wise, the touch of lightly-sweet flowers is just plain awesome.

A light, grassy/nutty flavor.

Always a great compliment to a savoury meal!

I drank this tea the other day, and it brought me to my happy place, a very enjoyable cuppa.

I love love love this tea. My typical steeping routine for this tea is 3 minutes for the first brew (which I don’t rinse, the super strong brew knocks my socks off), and then I add an extra 30 seconds to each additional steeping. I had this at work the other day and managed about 5 steeps before it was time to call it quits (on work and the tea). Strong, earthy and mellow. I tend to really like steepings 2 and 3 for this one.

I was really excited about this one because flavored oolongs are rare and even taboo w/ some tea drinkers, but was disappointed. Instead of normally measuring it by weight (2.25g/6 fl. oz) I decided to put one teaspoon in because of the flavorings. I steeped it at 195 degrees F for 5 min in 6oz purified water. I personally like at least a 1:1, but preferably a 2:1 ratio of flavoring to true tea tast. Unfortunately the taste of the oolong was completely masked by the lemon. This would be good in TheraFlu or a hot toddy during the flu season with a lil honey and whiskey. I rated it a thumbs down because I personally do not like herbal teas alone, but if you don’t mind that you can’t taste the oolong tea it’s a very good tea.

This is an interesting taste. It has a sweet tone to it and would be very good for a breakfast tea served cold or hot during those cold winter mornings.
