I bought this tea at a local Chinese market for a very good price and was curious as to how it would taste.

The leaves are dark in colour, similar in resemblance to a young Pu-erh. It smells floral, with hints of nuts. When steeping the leaves unfurl nicely and are quite nice to watch.

The brew is dark brown in colour but still has some transparency. The tea when finished steeping has a creamy milky smell, unlike the smell of the original leaves. The smell got me really hyped up for this tea!

When hot, this tea has floral/nutty aspects, and is extremely pleasing. There is no astringency. It is a very bold tea that will definitely wake you up in the morning based on the flavour alone.

As the tea cools, it becomes similar to that of a milk oolong (But not as milky!). It tastes amazing when it is warm! It is bold, creamy and nutty; All of which an great oolong is to me.

Overall, very surprised by this Oolong. It is is very interesting and is now one of my favourites!
