Sipdown (624)!

Finished this one off earlier in the week. It was pretty nice; very smooth and soothing on the throat. I didn’t find it nearly as flavourful/berry flavoured as my first tasting of it, but there was definitely a really nice presence of cinnamon, apple, and hibiscus notes that all paired together pretty nicely.

Iced tea!

This was phenomenal. It really strongly reminded me of one of my other favourite herbal teas at the moment, the Prairie Cherry blend made by a local cherry orchard near by. It had the same sort of crisp tartness followed by sweet berry and pastry-esque cinnamon notes. Basically, it tasted like slightly more tart than usual cherry pie. The big mystery for me is why this tasted like cherry, though. I’m pretty damn sure it doesn’t have any cherry in it at all?

Regardless, one delightful ass motherfucking profile! Good to know that if that local place ever stops producing their tea that I have an alternative to turn to.

Finally a sipdown! My cupboard is out of control right now. I’m drinking this as a hot latte and I think the soy milk makes it better. Plain, this blend can get a bit sour, but with milk I find it much creamier and I get to taste the spices and oat flavour more.

This spicy rooibos has a lot of cinnamon, cardamom, and clove. It tastes like a mixed berry crisp/crumble. Oat flavours, some nice berry flavour, although I would have liked more distinct berry profiles (black berry and blueberry especially).

Another sample from Amoda (blended by St. Fiacre’s Farm).

The rooibos is woody, sweet (honey, nectar). The berries are a bit tart, but I think this would benefit from my actually controlling the steeping time instead of letting it steep for an hour while I drink it. The vanilla and cardamon are delightful. It smells a bit like a chai blend.
