drank Cherry Bomb by T2

I made up a jug of iced tea of this the other day when my friend came around for afternoon tea but it was too stinking hot to have anything hot. I threw in a bunch of actual delicious cherries, and then I drank the leftovers today (I think it was… it was four days ago she was over). WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Actual cherries steeping in this tea made a world of deliciousness.

Finally got this one down from the top shelf and opened it up, ready to roll! I couldn’t remember the flavour of this at ALL apart from knowing it was my favourite of the three cherry tea flavours that T2 released as limited editions early this year.

I went straight to the cold steep for my first hit of this, and boy does it taste like cherry lolly flavour!

I’m on the fence as to whether that’s a good or bad thing for now.

Hannah F.

I love cherry lolly flavor.

Memily

You’d be crazy about this one then!

drank Chai by T2

Way, way, WAY too much star anise. Completely overpowers the other spices. As an experiment I picked all the anise pieces out of one bag – the pile of anise was roughly the size of the remaining tea mix.
Not bad to drink if you’re a fan of anise, but not as a chai.

drank Gorgeous Geisha by T2

At first I was dubious about a strawberry tart flavoured green tea, and I wouldn’t of considered purchasing if the clerk had not convinced me otherwise. However I was so pleasantly surprised that I’d dare say Gorgeous Geisha is my new favourite blend from T2.
The fruit notes are delicate and in no way overpower the refreshing green tea. Furthermore, I found the beautiful scent from the leaves still lingers even when brewed, creating the most lovely tea time experience
All in all, a wonderful balance of healthy green tea with a touch of sweetness that would please most.

drank Pu-Erh Blue Lemon by T2

Another one from MissB this is apparently all the joy and fun i get today since once again i am stuck at home with work while my other half gets to go out with friends. I’m so upset i could just sit and cry. I spent all of today working so that i could go out this afternoon and tomorrow and now, thanks to work, i’m now here while our friends have picked up my other half and left. Even if i get away from this testing with technology, it’ll take me 90 mins just to join them so there’s hardly a point at this rate.

This tea is quite nice, though i’m not sure where the blueberry taste it. There’s a lovely lemon taste here, but if i hadn’t read memily’s review i wouldn’t have even known there was supposed to be blueberry here. This is just coming across as a REALLY earthy puerh with lemon flavouring in the background. I really wish the lemon were stronger here, and i can see this being really offputting for anyone who doesn’t like puerh. Thanksfully, though i enjoy puerh and i’m still enjoying this cup, though i wish it was more lemoney…and uh i guess blueberry too since i can’t taste any of that lol

MissB

You got more out of it than I did! :)

Nicole

Aw. That’s awful about work. I hope it gets better.

Bear With Me

Ditch work and teleport over here for cuddles, silly movies, and tea. If I had company I might even find motivation to make cookies or something.

Sil

MissB – hope you’re feeling better :(

So not even worth the overtime guys…. this is the suck.

Sami Kelsh

Aww man. So sorry about work being a butt. kicks work

Marzipan

Sil what do you do?

Sil

marzipan… “whatever they make me” :) lol uh easiest way to describe it is that i’m part of the group that looks after our business banking platform @ a bank.

Another from MissB i have to say this was was pretty pleasant. I think i like bayswater’s version just a little more, but not with a huge degree of conviction lol. This has got some great caramel/vanilla notes in it and even as it cooled it maintained that delicious taste. happy to have tried this one! thanks missb!

MissB

Of all the T2 teas, I think this is my favorite.

Sil

so far i’d have to agree, though the puerh was nice too… heh

drank Chocolate by T2

missB sent this one my way. Note to those that try this, it’s much better hot than when it cools lol i got distracted with work and ended up having to drink a bunch of it on the cooler side. hot, this is delicious chocolate tea…warm this is more of a thin liquidy sort of vaguely reminiscent of chocolate sort of tea. I vastly prefer it hot heh

I realise that giving this a rating of 100% is probably a bit dramatic, but I think this might just be the best tea I have ever consumed. Or at least my favourite, it certainly lives up to its reputation! I’m not going to lie here – what attracted me was the rad name, it’s the most metal name for a tea possible! The tea did match its name, delivering a gentle, sweet bite with a pleasantly rich warmth. Oh my god, it was SO good! I love the story behind the tea too. Guanyin certainly deserves all my thanks.

Lol, I like the metal reference ;-)

drank Chilli Kiss by T2

So there is a viral video going around Facebook, that shows a woman plucking the feathers off a dead bird and supposedly eating it raw ON THE MONTREAL METRO.

Now this all sounds much more shocking than it is. In the video, she does seem to be plucking the feathers of what Im assuming is a duck (she probably bought it in china town). People online are saying it is a dead pigeon, but I mean, come on…Really Everyone is saying she is eating it, but I think she is probably just pulling off some feathers with her teeth. People say that this is shocking.

What I think is shocking is that nobody tries to stop her, or tell her not to do that, or ask her if she is ok or anything. Then people say ‘Well she was scary’. I doubt a 25 year old, tiny asian woman, wearing very little clothes and heels could do anything to, well anyone, really.

I think it is sad that hundreds, if not thousands of people will watch this video and comment about how gross she is and say terrible things, and in the end, this woman who is clearly not all there probably just needs some sort of medical attention…So that s my opinion on the thing that everyone here is talking about today.

So anyway, I am actually drinking tea while I reflect on this and I LOVE this. The combination of spicy and cinnamon is awesome. I added a bit of sugar and I am drinking cinnamon hearts. Im not really gettting chocolate out of this, but it doesnt bother me.

drank Just Hibiscus by T2
1 tasting notes

I first fell in love with hibiscus tea in Egypt (aka ‘Egyptian Red’) where it was served warm and strong. I never came across it till I ventured into T2 and discovered ‘Just Hibiscus’ which brought back those delicious relaxing memories from the first cup. There was low (zero!) stock at my nearest T2 for a long while, I was distraught! You can have it any time of day: at the moment I’m having it with my breakfast muffins to bring a punchy start to these cold winter days. I am yet to try it cold/ice tea style, but I’m sure it would be fabulous. gushes This is my tea! <3

Plain, this tea is nothing special, but seems like it could be. Add some sugar and vanilla soymilk, and it’s perfect for a late-night sweet craving. (Perils of turning 30: no caffeine after supper)

The scent is heady in mint – almost like spearmint.

Flavors: Chocolate, Mint, Spearmint

blehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

A friend bought this for me for my birthday, I love it :) I like that you can dress it up and make it more dessert-y or dress it down and it still tastes great in a subtle way on it’s own :) Haven’t tried it with vanilla soy yet though, I’ll give it a go

drank Milky Oolong by T2

I went into T2 the other day with my mother (who went TEA CRAZY) and the lovely sales dude encouraged us to try this one. Seriously, he was mad about it! He wasn’t wrong either, and I was very happy that he gave us a little pouch to cart home to try. I must admit I haven’t ventured into oolong territory much before, but I will definitely be going back after trying this one! I seem to have a preference for smooth, creamy tea and this fits the bill. Beautiful.

drank Carnaval Chai by T2

A fabulous tea! If you’re a fan of spicy chai but find the black tea base to be somewhat overwhelming, I can safely direct you to this delicate alternative. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I tried a sample, but I was pleasantly surprised by the gentle hints of mint and lemon zest. This tea has flavours that have the potential to overwhelm, but they are balanced perfectly by the white tea base. If you’re worried about the integrity of the spices becoming lost at sea, fear not! It holds its own without dominating the other flavours, which includes a slight sweetness from passionfruit. Very smooth and pleasantly gentle – I could rhapsodise about this brew forever!

The best loose-leaf chai I have had yet. I swear by it. I have tried lots of other chais, but this one is the best. A lovely smokey sweet blend with a lot of spice but not too hot.

Preparation

Have to be careful though, to brew enough of it or it is tasteless. I made that mistake a couple of times, and once I didn’t have the water hot enough. It was awful. But if you brew it with at least two heaped teaspoons of the stuff in your infuser, you will be okay. Make sure you don’t just put the spicy bits in, you need the tea leaves too. Some of the spicy bits are big so you don’t get enough actual TEA. Other than that, its grrreat!

drank Terrific Toffee by T2

mmm another one from MissB I’ve had a very non productive day today. We got up late, the drain was clogged and then my other half left me to go to a bachelor party for our friend. I’ve been looking at vacation plans and all of a sudden it’s nearly 6pm. this was a tasty treat this afternoon – similar to toffee from DF, but just a little different. Overall a nice cup of toffee tea :)

MissB

And easier to get, even if it’s also around the world!

This is what started my latest tea kick!

I had a friend visiting from London. Half-jokingly, I took her into the tea shop, This was available as a sample (iced). I tasted it. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for the whole weekend, so I went back and bought it.

This is one of the best chai teas I’ve ever tasted. By it self or with a scoop of spicy chai for that added sweetness, it’s perfect. And making this tea is purely foolproof. It is not possible to over-brew this blend at all, the longer it’s brewed the better (and spicier if you have it brewing for a few hours). A spoonful of honey turns this into a cup of pure relaxation.
