Huge fan always. Seems to taste better prepared with lowfat (1%) milk. Less water, please. Very flavorful drink, all the time. A spicy treat for the tongue. Be sure to try it in soy as well as with Starbucks flavorings.
Yeah, I don’t think my store ever prepares it with the syrup, since the syrup is usually for iced. (Which makes sense with iced.) I’ll have to try it with mocha… sounds delectable! Thanks :)
A bit hard to find, since it’s seasonal. At this time, you’ll have the best luck finding it on shelves of Starbucks stores. After the holiday season, good luck.
It’s a blend of black, green, and oolong. Nice medium-strength smell that’s slightly sweet. Good taste, leaves a bit of a herbal aftertaste. Prepared at near-boiling and steeped for 2 minutes, let cool. Going to find a decent combo.
A good everyday tea, in packets so you can prepare it quickly. Sold at Starbucks for $5 for 24 filter bags, so about $0.20 per bag. One bag can stretch you two or more cups. Only in a large container, one ’brew’—don’t know how it is reused.
Preparation
Smells good, tastes good, very Chinesey and would go well with milder tasting Chinese food. Flavors are balanced without becoming muddy. A keeper.

MY FAVORITE BAGGED TEA! If you like sweetener in your tea, order it at Starbucks and order it w/ pumps of their gingersnap syrup. YUM!:)
An unusual, interesting blend, but I’m not sure it’s an improvement on plain white tea. You see, I find plain white tea to be anything but plain. Of course, teabag-grade tea could be expected to be less flavorful than its full-leaf forbears. Maybe it’s the lime zest. Unlike lemon, which accentuates the floral notes, the lime seems to bring out something more earthy. And then there’s cucumber. If you omit the skin, what flavor is cucumber? It has a vegetal freshness, I think, but it’s a shy, retiring essence, overwhelmed by the lime. I wanted the lime to surprise me, to wake me up, but it wasn’t punchy enough to do that. It adds a savory dimension, but I think the lime would give a better effect when paired with a base other than white tea. Plus, I kept wanting to add a dash of salt!

I had this at Starbucks today. I wasn’t completely impressed. This is the second time I’ve tried Earl Grey, and the second time it’s been the Tazo blend. The first time I tried Tazo’s blend, I probably oversteeped it (although I followed the instructions on the package). The resulting brew was so bitter that I needed to throw away my cup.
It’s a bit annoying that they put the tea bag in there and leave it in. It means that you need to open your cup after a certain steepage (and how can you figure this out?) and throw away the teabag before your brew becomes bitter. I had this particular latte with soymilk, since I’m lactose intolerant.
While it was enjoyable, I didn’t think it was anything particularly special, and I still don’t think I’m a fan of Earl Grey. Maybe it’s Tazo’s blend that’s not spectacular. The soy didn’t really work with this; the nuttiness of its flavor pretty much completely masked the taste of the tea, and I instead was left with bergamot-nut. It was pretty odd. Easy to drink, but not compulsively sippable. I didn’t finish the entire thing.

Decaffinated teas usually reflect that in their taste- it’s to this tea’s credit that it doesn’t taste quite as decaffinated as some others. Yes, I can still taste that it’s decaffinated, but not as much as most others. That said, this green tea has lotus scenting, and is pretty darn well done for a teabag. The lotus notes aren’t too strong, so I can still taste the green tea, as well as a soft lotus flavor. If Tazo made this in a full-throttle version I’d definitely buy it. In it’s current form, it’s drinkable, which is far more than I say about most decaf teas.
I haven’t found a way to make mine really cold since I always go w/ bags instead of the concentrate/syrup. It ends up luke warm.
Hmm. I haven’t asked them to prepare it cold with the bag—standard issue is the concentrate. But lukewarm chai doesn’t sound too appetizing.
It’s not, especially since I forgot to order it sans water once so it was watery luke warm spiced milk. Hot ‘n’ dirty too. Haha! Ok, that gives me an idea. I’m so totally gonna order a hot ‘n’ double dirty no water double bagged tall chai latte next time and see what looks I get. =D
Hahaha, good idea.
