I think less time cooler water or less time? and a touch of sweetener, really enjoying this berry green though.
Yes, let the spigot water cool and keep it to just a minute and it’s a sweet vegetal with hints of berry. I wonder how this would fair as a tea cocktail?
This was a surprise gift from Newman who had read about my trip to the tea and champagne bar in NYC. Not only did it have a nice note but it was the most observant gift I’ve received in a long time!
An absolutely horrible name for a tea… but it tastes great!
I say horrible name because it gives the assumption that oolongs are used for weight loss. Simply put, there is no proof of this. End of discussion.
However, the tea itself tastes quite smooth. There is just enough orange flavor and it isn’t overpowering. My 2oz. sample is almost gone. The leaves are large and open up a lot, so make sure to give them a lot of room
I have been taking this to work with me for the last week and a half. It’s a great “wake the heck up and be productive” tea.
As far as taste, it is smokier and more astringent than a Ceylon tea, but it is not too bold. It’s fine with nothing added to it. I’m sure it could stand up to milk, but why bother?
Okay, but I still like Coconut Custard more! The dry leaf has almost a tangy yogurt smell. It reminded me a lot of some sweet yogurt drink I had when I was younger. When steeped, there is a bit of a floral scent. This tea is just alright. A tiny bit drying after you swallow. It’s sweet, but I don’t really taste individual honey or vanilla.
This is probably my new favorite rooibos! I love rooibos and I love sweet dessert teas… what a perfect combination this is! I don’t detect something that is pure coconut.. I’m just getting a creamy, almost honey-like sweetness instead. This is so smooth! The perfect balance between rooibos and sweetness. I don’t know how, but it’s quickly soared to the top of my list. Delicious! I won’t ever go without this blend in my cupboard.
I liked it! It’s citrusy in all kinds of good ways, but if I didn’t see the package, I don’t know if I would have gotten to grapefruit. But, that’s not a bad thing. It was really nice plain, without sugar. Sugar, ice… both… I could see that working well with this.
I didn’t think it was remotely like freshly picked grapefruit. But it’s citrus in a way that’s unexpected and different. For that, it deserves a try.
I had but a single serving sample of this tea from Teas Etc. I have delayed consuming it until my desire for a nice green tea was just right. It was worth it. This is a delightful tea, very smooth and pleasant. Great for these chilly afternoon wet-yuck days. It has now gone, but will be remembered in a future order.
I moved away from black teas during the summer. Their flavor just no longer been interesting. But lately, I have a very nice Earl Grey, and this very nice Assam. Maybe it was the teas. Maybe it was the heat. Maybe it was Me.
But this is a very smooth, subtly favored Assam. I am surprised, and delighted.
This is so SWEET and to bring the honey and vanilla out more I added a bit of Agave and wow did they ever come out. However, next time I will probably have it straight or maybe just a tiny bit of tea honey. Nevertheless, it is absolutely as described and will not disappoint. Can’t believe I was the first to log this one either.
Not bad but had a taste in there I couldn’t identify. It wasn’t a bad taste but just couldn’t figure it out. Otherwise the rose was wonderful and most definitely present. I love rose so to me it may never be considered overwhelming but to those on the cusp it may be a bit much. I am not sure if I would purchase it but I am also not sure if I wouldn’t purchase it. This one is very much an in the mood tea.
I finally got this after waiting months for it to be back in stock, I really wanted this to be as good as everyone else raved about. Unfortunately, drinking it straight it tastes like just a plain sweet rooibos and only when I add agave (I have to add stuff) do I even get a hint of coconut. It maybe personal preference, may be that the re-blend isn’t as good as the original. I just don’t know. All I can say is that I was disappointed and hope that it wasn’t my expectations that caused this. I gave it a higher score just in case it was me and because it was ok with agave. On the upside my 3 yr old enjoys it with honey.
A definite sweet fruity taste. Probably honeysuckle, but I don’t know what honeysuckle tastes like. But, no chocolate taste. Maybe it is too subtle for me, but I have yet to have taste chocolate in any the teas which are supposed to have the flavor. That said, still a very nice, sweet, dark oolong.
