sad day…used the last of this tea in my latte. I have grown quite fond of this one! I will have to replenish the supply very soon! I am still trying to perfect my lattes and found Frank’s recipe that I had received with my 52 Teas order… and I was not adding the sweetened condensed milk, so today I gave it a whirl. YUMMMY!
milk+sweetened condensed milk+tea+ Dark Chocolate cream from Breve Creme= Dreammy!!!
I really love this tea! I think I am becoming addicted to this one… funny because I do not drink coffee. Today I made another latte with Java Vana, milk and chocolate syrup! Yummy- made my morning at work almost bearable and made a coworker envious. I will have to make two tomorrow morning!
Today I attempted to make my first ever tea latte… I decided to use this tea and then warmed some milk, added some rock sugar and a little caramel syrup. I do not have a milk frother yet (may have to get one) so I just used a little hand held mixer that I used to use to mix baby formula. Not sure if this is how lattes are made or not but this is super yummy!!!!!
Oh my word, do I love this tea.
I’m a fan of EGs, and this is the smoothest, most lovely EG experience I’ve had to date. The very slight vanilla notes give it a creamy feel, and the bergamot is gorgeously aromatic. I am in love.
I steep for about 2.5 mins, with approx 10 oz of water to a tsp of tea. Add in a little rock sugar to my tea maker, throw in a little cream, and this is seriously the most perfect cup of tea I’ve had in a long, long time.
Preparation
Very good iced or hot
Pairs well with foods that like a semi spicy drink like pastas, steak, etc
Full aroma of spices and “Red Hot Candy” smell. Reminds me dramatically of “Red Hot” candy, and just as delicious!
One of my new Chai favorites.
Preparation
Good refreshing drink! Note: fruity drink! I liked the composition of flavors, just wish there was more tea leaves then fillings – petals, sugary fruit cubes, etc. I tried it both ways – hot and cold. Have to say, iced version was better due to enormous amount of dried fruits. Overall, it was good!
Preparation
This tea is spectacular!!!! I mix it with everything in my cabinet! It tastes heavenly with chamomile and a little honey at night!!!
It’s very aromatic and the smell translates beautifully into it’s taste. Iced or hot this tea is wonderfully sweet and fragrant.
Preparation
Oo. So not happy with this. I love lemon, but I find this tea so very sour. It’s not just the tartness of the lemon, but there’s something else, maybe the rosehips, that I find unpleasant in taste.
Before I give up completely, I promise to try adding plenty of rock sugar to the tea maker as suggested by a number of you. Perhaps proper sweetening will save this tea for me.
Having a perfect cup of this right now. Thank you, rock sugar! Thank you, electric water kettle! Thank you, me, for not forgetting it and letting it steep too long.
This one wants to go bitter on you, so do ahere to the guidelines regarding steep time. :) It is gorgeously delicious when done right.
Preparation
So, I hadn’t been in awhile, but I decided to give teavana one more go. Honestly I was looking mainly for a double-walled glass tea tumbler, but I decided to get some silver needles tea as well. I’ve tried silver needle tea from lots of different tea shops, and was disappointed with this one. First of all, 15$ for 2 oz? That’s pretty steep, but this is supposed to be a good tea, right? Well, not in this case. I’m not sure what to think really, it just doesn’t taste as natural, very bland even for a white tea. The leaves are extremely broken for a premium chinese tea; I wonder if it was processed in a factory. It’s drinkable, has very light floral notes etc., but not near actual white tea standards, and definitely not worth what they charged me for it. I think next time I’ll go with my mainstays, Tao of Tea, and Townshend’s Tea from Portland, Oregon. They both tend to be cheaper and of higher quality. It’s no wonder almost all of Teavana’s teas are mixed with some sort of dried fruit.
Preparation
This is one delicious mojito-tea MojiTea? It doesn’t have the rum flavor, but I bet it would be great with a splash of rum, especially if one wants to imbibe on a chilly fall evening and still enjoy a summery drink.
The blackberry flavor is well done, the spearmint is noticeable (although I may try it with a little more for added flavor) and I think I’m getting a bit of plum and apple to show through as well. This is a nice softly fruit (in Teavana terms) green tea.
