This is a sad sipdown. Once I have cut my tea stash down at least in half, we will meet again. Until then, you will be missed my morning friend.

Half might take a while!

Yeah. . . .I know. . . :(

Ugh…I need to get myself back under control! I had tea a London Tea Room today with my grand daughter, & ended up buying a teaware for her and for me (like I need anymore). Also more tea…

There are just so many teas out there I want to try. It is so hard to keep yourself under control. . . especially when you pair that with teaware.

I am jealous of anybody that lives anywhere near Philadelphia. It seems like you have some pretty awesome tea shops. We literally have no unique shops near me. The only tea room that I know of just serves Bigelow with springs of mint. Which is fine. I would love to have a shop like The Random Tea Room near me.

Enough of my ramblings. . this was a fantastic maltly slightly astringent black tea. I really liked it. As it cools, the astringency became more pronounced and that part I wasn’t to keen on. But overall a decent cuppa.

Still steeping. This oolong thins out pretty well by the third steep, but is still drinkable. And the leaves look oh-so-nice.

I brewed the last 10 gram of this I had in a 6 oz session. The liquor that resulted is a vibrantly clear yellow-green, with a dense perfume of lilac blossom, hibiscus, and sesame oil. A bit of blue crab meat scents through. The mouthfeel isn’t as dense and juicy as I would like, but this is a nice light cup with lots of floral character.

Especially soft and perfumed, this oolong isn’t as juicy or sticky as I would hope, but its a delicate example of a greener twisted-leaf style.

This is the second time I’ve had sheng pu-erh and the second time I’ve brewed it myself. I’m sure my brewing expertise isn’t up to par for brewing pu-erh well. Nonetheless, this is an interesting cup. Golden raisins, mellow figs, and light cane sugars dominate the first steep. We’ll see where it goes from there.
