Very ginger and licorice heavy and spicy. A tea to wake you up. Not for everyone’s taste.

Flavors: Ginger

This is my go to tea when I am on conferences or travelling and there is no other option available, but there always seems to be a Tim Hortons around in Canada…so I am able to get a tea and a muffin…and this bagged tea is okay…I am a loose tea nut, but in a pinch this one is pretty good

drank Frozen Green Tea by Tim Hortons

Yeah, I’m not sure what I was thinking with this. It really tasted like 90% honey, with a little bit of green tea syrup mixeed in ice. Which is ok, if that’s what you like, but I don’t need all that sugar and honey. Now I know for sure!

ohfancythat

Oh man, I tasted that, it was putrid to me

So I went into this fully knowing it was going to be some kind of syrup slushie. But all I can say is: Yuckie.

Definitely way artificial. And it doesn’t taste much like green tea to me at all. It is super duper sweet and actually quite bitter. I will choke it down but definitely not purchase again.

I think I’m going to stick to the “syrup masquerading as tea” drinks that I already know I like.

ohfancythat

Sooo gross! A friend came over the other day and was like “you like green tea, right! Here try this”

And I did
And then I had to scrape the taste off my tongue….blehhhhh

It’s like they took the dregs of oversteeped, bitter green tea and decided to make a drink out of it. I can’t believe people enjoy that. Next time he comes over I think I will make him a red leaf cold smoothie so he can taste something delicious made from green tea!

I suspect it only sells because people are like “green tea is good for me so I will force myself to drink it…mmmmmm…?”

TeaLady441

Or it’s just “if I have enough sugar in it then it will taste fine!”

drank Apple Cinnamon by Tim Hortons

We’re sitting in evolution now and Mike picked me up an Apple Cinnamon tea from Tim’s. You know, to survive the class still sane. I love evolution, don’t get me wrong, but this prof is a bit dry. Even with a British accent.

Sometimes I don’t feel like the adult I am when I’m sitting here in class typing up tea notes while Mike watches over my shoulder and we attempt to stifle laughter before the prof notices.

This is a decent tea. It was one of the teas I used to drink when Tim’s was my favourite. The apple here is really nice, and of course apple and cinnamon go great together. This is actually a decent herbal option.

It’s entirely cinnamony and appley. It lives up to its name. I… don’t have anything more to say than that.

drank Honey Lemon by Tim Hortons

This tea impresses me. The first time I had this, which was about a week and a half ago (I normally don’t go for the herbal teas) I was surprised by how sweet and citrusy the flavour was.
It lives up to the name honey lemon quite well, and goes down very easily. This hasn’t been a go-to tea for me before, but I think it might be when I want a caffeine-fee cuppa at Tims in the future.

drank Orange Pekoe by Tim Hortons

After my last tea, I wanted something much more tea-y. So, orange pekoe it is.
I’m thinking it would be better with milk and honey, but it’s not bad as-is, too. I think it would pair really well with something fruity.

drank Peppermint by Tim Hortons

I have a feeling my mom could say more about this tea than I can — mint of pretty much any form is her favourite when it comes to tea. That said, it seems pleasantly minty. Nothing special, but then it doesn’t profess to be anything more than mint.

Cooling, calming, and simple. Probably would pair wonderfully with something chocolatey. Not bad at all.

Need to post ingredients on this tea. My daughter had an allergic reaction to this tea. No other sources for the ingredients online! Contains multiple compounds that could be dangerous. Even Tim Hortons does not reveal the ingredients

drank English Breakfast by Tim Hortons
307 tasting notes

Certainly not a bad bag. It has a bit of an orangey note to it, which I find amusing saying how often I have to try and convince people that no, there is no orange in orange pekoe. (This is English Breakfast, I realize, but nonetheless, both are straight teas. My point stands.)

Now I just wish that I had a nice pastry (or a few timbits) to go with it, but sadly, as I am having this at home, no such luck. Maybe next time….

drank Blueberry White by Tim Hortons

I don’t know whether I would go as far as saying this tea is GOOD, but it’s the best one that Timmy Ho’s offers. It has a wacky colour; not blueberry-steeped colour at all. There’s definitely some hibiscus in there, because it’s a blue-ish, purple-ish, red. Blueberry tea should be a greenish-black. That’s what happens when you add blueberries to hot water without vinegar (vinegar changes the colour from that wacky green-black to blueish like liquid pen ink). I doubt any of the contents of the tea bag contain blueberry anything other than artificial blueberry flavour.

All that being said, Timmy Ho’s warm beverages are TERRIBLE. It’s either coffee that tastes like cigarettes, new dark roast coffee that tastes like burnt cigarettes, “lattes” and “cappuccinos” that are at least 90% sugar, and tea that tastes like….cardboard? I can’t quite place it. I feel like a Canadian traitor saying all of that, but it’s true. If you want good coffee in Canada you have to get it from an independent coffee shop or make it yourself. Period. Same goes with tea. Independent tea shop (or David’s/Teavana) or make it yourself.

Verdict: I’m not about to ditch my Blueberry Jam tea from David’s any time soon for this stuff.

It was alright, but nothing special. First sip gave me a mouthful of ginger, but then it mellowed down to a melange of spices with some licorice undertones. Not bad, considering

Had this at Tim Hortons today and actually went and took home a box! For $3.50, it seemed like a bit of a steal. I can’t believe how much I like this tea – it tastes like a spicy apple cider. Perfect for when I’m in an appley sort of mood.

I just…I don’t even know what to say, actually. I’m surprised! Thought this would be risky.

You never know! Some bagged teas are quite good!

keychange

Oh yeah, definitely keep an open mind. You never know when you’ll fall in love with the most unexpected of teas.

Yvonne

Oh, I don’t have any bias against bagged teas – there are some out there I quite like! Just didn’t think it would be anything from Tim Hortons, much less anything herbal!

TeaLady441

Haha. Fair enough! I really like their steeped tea, even though it’s mostly just sugar/milk. :P

My favourite go to tea, that I know I can order in any Tim Hortons and it will taste the same! I enjoy the medium size, with 2 cream and one sugar. One of my favourite bagged teas
