this I if in the bag do not let it steep too long the bitterness can get to u and do not squeeze the bag as i have seen others do, this can cause the bitterness to be more predominant. but as i have said in other notes that i like to not steep the tea as much unless it is loose leaf then it’s done by color for me depending of the type of tea. but each person has there own way. i do prefer the loose leaf less bitterness hugs* it’s still a wonderful tea.

At Strada Cafe, Berkeley – had a steaming hot cup of this. I remember liking this one the last time I had it, but it’s been a while so I wasn’t really sure how it would measure up today. Turns out it was quite tasty! I liked the blend of bergamot with more of a citrus accent, without being overdone. Some natural sweetness to it, unobtrusive black tea base. A very good back-up tea for a cafe setting.

I seldom drink black tea, but husband was having English Breakfast this morning so I did, too. It was steeped a liiittle too long, so was bitter. But at the top of the cup it was decent. I will give black tea another try.

Tea bag. Drank black. My low rating is mostly due to my tastes (not liking black) and the bitterness.

Another malomorgen Random Pick…thanks, girl!

This smells very nice…fruity…not tart, but like in-the-woods-type fruit or just picked type fruit. It has a unique Reddish-brown color.

It’s actually pretty good, too! It’s almost like a berry-meets apple-meets lemon type taste…without being overly tarty or puckery. OH YES!!! I’m into the ’words ending in Y" today!!!! Bring it ON!!!!

Fixed this over the holiday. I was looking for a fruity Kool-Aid replacement. Tasted great. While the clear dark amber color was very pretty, I actually grabbed it thinking that it would produce a red color. Goofed up there. Next time I better do a practice run since I obviously was thinking of another tea.

This makes a decent cup of tea. I like the crisp ending it provides. No cream/milk, no sugar. I don’t know if I’ll repurchase seeing that there are other teas I like more, but it’s fine.

That was a good cup of bagged Tea!
I think it is a all-round good tasty experience, that you get from this Tea.

I drank this Darjeeling without any things added to the Tea, that I mostly do with Tea.

I’m sure that I will drink this Tea again!

This was my first homemade Iced Tea.

I forgot to put sugar in the Tea, before I poured it over the ice cubes.
So I poured some hot water in another glass, and let the brown sugar melt in it.
Then I took the sugar water and poured it in the Iced Tea.

The taste was very bitter, I think I should have taken the Tea Bag up sooner.
I also tried to give the taste a little kick, with some lemon juice.

In the end, it tasted okay, but not as good as I wanted it to be.

Ingredients:
Water (about 0,33 cl.)
Twinings – English Breakfast (Tea Bag)
Ice Cubes
Lemon Juice
Brown Sugar

I think I will try this again soon, but with less steep time.

This is just my two-cents, so feel free to disregard this advice. I’ve found that the best iced teas are cold brewed. So put the tea bags or leaf into a pitcher of cold water in the fridge for 12-24 hours. If you want sweetener, do exactly as you did with the hot water/sugar mixture and pour into the tea. I’ve found that with cold brewing, the tea doesn’t get bitter just flavorful. Good luck.

Thank you very much for your comment!
I will sure try brewing in cold water, instead of hot water.

On my way, the Iced Tea, would also just be lukewarm, because the hot water meets the ice cubes.

So I think, I will put the Iced Tea in the fridge, as you say.

Ever since buying this tea in London year before last I have been unable to drink anything else. I like my tea traditional. I am going to DIE though, as I usually buy it from Twinings USA online – 4 boxes at a time. My supplies are running low and when I tried to order more yesterday, they said that they are out of stock and since it is in such great demand are not planning on restocking? Huh? WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!!! Aughhhhhhh… Does anyone have a clue where I can find more online or on home base in Miami please, please, please.

I had this a couple of days ago for lunch and it makes me so sad that I only have two bags of it left. It tasted so good. It wasn’t sugary sweet which was fantastic but it had enough flavor to compliment my meal.

I just need to start making myself hot tea again instead of going with the big pre-prepared sweet tea that my school has.

Yummy. After putting up with a no-name tea with coffee creamer at work, this is fantastic with a little bit of milk. It is a bit of a balance to find because if I put too much milk in it then I dilute the flavor but I find the flavor to be lacking with no milk in it at all.

Don’t remember how long I prepared it but I do remember that it tastes really good with the leftover milk from my honey nut cheerio bowl.

I wanted a nice warm drink before going to bed but I know that if I drink a stronger black tea I will stay up a little later than I mean to. (Still have to go to work in the morning.) So, brew it weak, put milk in it, and out comes an instant cup of comfort that will actually help me get to sleep. For some reason this type of tea really helps me relax.

Second time drinking this tea and it is lovely. Very light without being overpoweringly flowery. I read on the container that it is nice to drink with milk and I have been on an Add Milk to Tea spree so I added some. I added less this time to see how it tastes. But so far I really like it.

This is the first non-earl grey tea ive tried and i was pleasantly surprised. It features the balanced flavour Ive grown accustomed to in Twinings. It offers a medium yet full bodied taste. I think this tea is a great morning tea as many here have stated. It would do well on the go with a bagel or a full breakfast as opposed to coffee. But could also be enjoyed in the evening after a long days work.

Sushi and a solid green tea on a Saturday night . Can’t really say more I mean it had a strong more consistant taste than other greens I’ve had before. It didn’t really smell too strong but it did smell good. Can’t go wrong with green tea and sushi , just a stellar combination, these japenese people are so smart.

UpInTheAir

That’s an old standard.

JonTea

LOL what are you saying? Japanese people lost their credibility to smartness?

I know this comment was written a while ago…but fyi, gunpowder tea is a Chinese green tea. I’m half Japanese and like gunpowder tea.
