The stevia makes it a bit too sweet for me but I like the combination of maté and hibiscus.

Oh dear Tea Gods, I didn’t know what blasphemy I was about to drink. This tea comes with stevia in it. I did not know this until afterwards when I looked it up to see why I hated this tea drinking experience. Who would do that!?! I only drink my tea “black” and they didn’t allow for that by forcefully adding sweetener to it. And it was thick with this sweetness. Luckily my husband just traded to get a bag of this and I don’t have a box of it to glare menacingly at. Yuck!

I LOVE this tea. In the powder form it is amazing- just make sure you dont put too much in your cup because then it can be way too strong. I have a hard time getting this tea but when I find it I buy several.

I LOVE this stuff! I can only find it in really odd off the beaten path stores but when I do I buy a few. The powder version is great for a chilled drink.

This is the first Yerba Maté Tea I’ve ever tried. It’s a blend of organic Maté and ‘SweetLeaf Stevia’. It also includes Licorice Pepper. It’s aroma is mildly sweet, round (with no detectable citrus notes). It doesn’t have any astringent effect(as in many green teas), but a pleasant sweet aftertase. I quite like this tea because it suffices without biscuits/pasteries. I strongly do not recommend adding sugar because that would mask the mild sweetness of the licorice/sweetleaf. I prefer having this without milk, since it’s already such a smooth blend.
Box says it’s good for two steeps, but I think only one.

*PS: I hope to try a version without the SweetLeaf Stevia. I’m not sure if the sweetness is primarily the product of the Sweetleaf or the Licorice.

Oh just ick. Please do not drink this. I spotted this one at a convenience store next to work and thought some tea would be nice. But not this one. Tastes artificial and bitter. And sickly sweet. Try any other mate. I left it in the cabinet at work, hoping that someone else would take it!

Can’t figure what I don’t like more about this tea…having it pre-sweetened or the after taste from the Stevia. Maybe I just over steeped it and that was just why it was bad all around. But I’ll never know since I only had one of these to try. Let me re-phrase that…I have others flavors but no more lemons to try.
The ahh moment, I forgot this company also makes the sugar alternative in this tea. -Stevia. I’m not a fan of non real sugar products. That stuff & my tummy have a long talks =/

Not hot on the smell of this one…smells like socks. LOL But..if you are looking for a pick-me-up try it…you might like it. I don’t drink this very often because there is something that just tastes a little strange to me…it could very well be the Stevia. A strange first taste but one be able to get used to it. As for me…I think I will put this one back on my self for when I get desperate again.
