Numi’s savory options are not nearly as good as Millie’s Savory Teas, but unlike Millie’s they are decaf which makes them a great option for a midnight snacking.
This one tastes like… broccoli! With a hint of cilantro. No surprises there. There’s also some garlic and onion swimming around in there. I find it a bit wimpy but it can be greatly improved with the addition of some garlic pepper. Overall not bad, and the convenience factor of having teabag snacks laying around make it well worth a re-purchase.

I picked up this tea by accident. I had meant to purchase the delicious Yun Nan Dian Hong Full Leaf, but somehow I purchased this one instead. Oh well. This is still quite delicious and if I hadn’t tried the full leaf version I would probably have purchased this one anyway as it ended up being a whopping $5.30 for 100g during their sale.
Overall it’s not as rich tasting or intricate as the flavors in the Full Leaf or Golden Tips, but it’s still tasty. The leaves are beautiful twisty things with a surprising amount of gold woven throughout and a sweet scent of dried fruit. The taste is sweet and cocoa-y with a lovely hint of citrus and maybe some molasses as well. I think this would be a wonderful breakfast tea. A flavorful way to start the day without being too overpowering.

Can I just take a moment to say how impressed I’ve been by Tao Tea Leaf? For a company that I’d never heard of before the day I placed an order with them I’m completely surprised by how incredible their teas have been.
Earthy is how I would describe this tea. Rich and earthy. I’m kind of at a loss trying to describe what flavors I’m tasting. Sort of deep chocolate but brighter and a little nutty. Like roasted grain nutty. Quite sweet as well. Zero bitterness or astringency. I don’t know how to describe it, but I love it. Highly recommended.

I love this tea. Didn’t know where to log: we have 2 entries for this tea. I find it is simar to LB by Verdant. Not the same, but still similar.

Its confusing because the package says jin ping, but the store listing is Zhenghe gongfu. The tea is a zhenge gongfu produced in Jin Ping village.
