Tried to make an earl grey latte to mimic the london fog latte at starbucks. Got soymilk hot enough to bubble, but there wasn’t much flavor at all. I think the lack of vanilla might be a factor, or maybe bigelow just isn’t strong enough of a tea. I might try two bags next time and see what happens. Or I’ll just stick with rooibos based teas, those seem to work pretty well.

Amazing smell. I love love love this tea.
Tastes pretty much like the cinnamon orange version. I looked at the ingredients and it looks like the same stuff just in different proportions. Anyway, this tea is great. If anything, it might be a little less sweet than the cinnamon orange one, but still plenty sweet. And I bought a nice value pack from costco, it was an amazing deal!
And to note, three steeps from one bag in my oversized cup. A little watery on the last one but not bad.
Yum! I find this too sweet to pair with a meal, but it’s nice for just sipping while I do my computer stuff. =]
Just bought I box of this. I tastes pretty much like the Bigelow Orange and Spice, at least I couldn’t notice much based on my memory. If anything, I think there’s something a little stronger here, either more orange oil or one of the spices is stronger. Anyway, I like both of the teas, but not orange black teas. Iono why, but I’m glad I bought this! (and at $2, why not?)
So back when I wrote a note for regular stash chai, I remember saying how average it was, kinda spicy but not really anything to get excited about. So today I made a bagged of double spiced chai in a nice big cup and wham the flavor hits you full force. I think it’s safe to say that I like cinnamon =] and probably also safe to say that I’ll never buy regular chai again.
However, this isn’t the most flavorful tea I’ve ever had. Compared to the Good Earth cinnamon orange red tea, this is perhaps just up to par with, and this chai actually kinda loses it’s hold on you near the bottom.
It’s an ok tea. The peach definitely comes out more than the black. I also think I understeeped it a little cause the tea taste is pretty weak. As a comparison, I think Stash has a stronger peach tea. This tea is enjoyable but I don’t think I would buy a can. Too bad I can’t try a longer steep time since this bag was a sample and I don’t have anymore.
I like pairing teas with meals. Today, I got Chinese takeout for lunch and so brewed up a cup of oolong to go with it. I especially like how a nice clear tea makes you feel better after eating greasy food. I have a lot of random packs of bagged chinese and japanese tea, so maybe next time I’ll have a jasmine, or hoji-cha, or something else. =]
But to be noted, the second cup tastes pretty much like water.
No notes yet.
Made a cup of chai milk tea for dinner tonight to pair with my Trader Joe’s indian food. Wonderful combination!
added honey to it this morning. not such a good combo.
one of my favorite nighttime teas. comforting and caffeine free =]
i like this version of green tea. very light. had a cup a couple nights ago.
a good breakfast tea, this time with some creamer, but the more i drink this tea the more it reminds me of generic orange pekoe. tastes good, but i kinda wish it were a little more unique.
second steep. still good. i don’t think it can handle more than two though.
This is a great mint green tea. I’ve had mint herbal teas that I like, and I’m not really a fan of mint black teas, but I think this combination is good. It’s refreshing and soothing at the same time. =D
ehh, not so good. I had regular stash earl grey yesterday but ran out. The decaf version really can’t compare. The difference in flavor is obvious and I think I’ll only resort to this when I absolutely have to.
I keep forgetting to log this tea when I have it. It’s surprisingly sweet and flavorful, sometimes almost two sweet. One bag for two cups is just about right.
Needed some cream in it today. I think I’ll steep it a little less next time.
had a cup with honey this morning. i think honey really does bring out the bergamot flavor, as opposed to sugar. yay! found another interesting way to drink my tea =]
teabag + vitasoy + water + microwave = soy tea latte =]
it didn’t steep fully the first time, but after microwaving again it was very tasty. i need to convince my brother to teach me how to use his espresso machine. foam would make this super yummy.
had a soy chai latte! courtesy of my brother and his new espresso machine. =]
good earth chai is definitely different from tazo. not bad, just a different taste. something not quite as spicy in there, but very flavorful
so after hearing a suggestion about flavored hot chocolate, i decided to give this tea one more go. steeped the tea, added the hot chocolate. verdict? nope, still don’t like the orange flavor. the chocolate does help, but…yeah, no, this one isn’t for me.
mm, made a great cup today. nice and smooth with plenty of flavor.
