Very interesting tea… Ive tried brewing it cooler and warmer and so far very much prefer the smooth mellow taste of the cooler steeping. The stems provide an interesting “twang” to the tea. If you are tired of sencha or gyokuru this is a great tea to add to your cabinet.
Took a few times but I think this is the best temperature/time combination. Nice full flavor, slightly astringent as the liquid leaves your tongue but still good. This tea is very “earthy” in flavor, especially after a few infusions.
Very nice change from the fukamushi teas I have been drinking lately.
Great value for the money. Hint: buy on ebay for free shipping and slightly cheaper price.
