21 Tasting Notes

Coco Chai Rooibos from DAVIDsTEA
100

This has officially become my favorite tea ever. It’s a beautiful sweet and spicy chai. Very bold, and even more yummy. I let it sit for the maximum of its recommended steep time and added almost a whole pack of stevia to 12 oz. Perfection.

Lemon Lime Kampai from Teavana
24

I feel like I’m drinking a lime-flavored lollipop. Not a fan.

Jasmine Tea from Mountain Rose Herbs
91

This is so yummy! Definitely a tad different than other Jasmine teas I’ve tried – has a bit of a roasted flavor, I’d say. Very flavorful, but not at all bitter. Heavily recommend.

Scarlet Cloud from Teavana
67

I don’t typically drink white teas, because in the past, I found them to be too light. But, I did inherit this tea and wanted to try it. To make up for the anticipated hardly-there flavor, I did add about half a teaspoon of Teavana’s German Rock Sugar along with about a third of a pack of stevia. Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed this! I didn’t find this to be too light – I’m not sure if that means it’s actually a stronger white tea, or what. Very berry and minty. Sounded like an interesting mix, and although I don’t know if I LOVE it, I do like it and find it refreshing. I was happy to be given a bit of this tea, but after checking Teavana’s price, I will not be purchasing this for anywhere near what they’re selling it for. Does make me curious about other white teas flavors though!

Organic Spring Jasmine from Mighty Leaf Tea
75

Yum! Pretty robust flavor from leaving the bag in a bit longer, which I really enjoyed. Tasted fantastic with some raw agave.

Hot Cinnamon Spice from Harney & Sons
23

This was a tea I wanted to like very badly. I tried hard, but who was I kidding? I hate spicy cinnamon flavor. I do kind of enjoy the smell though.

Dragon Pearl Jasmine from Harney & Sons
71

I love jasmine, but one sachet wasn’t strong enough for me. Would be terrific for anyone who enjoys a more mild-medium jasmine flavored green tea.

Cinnamon Apple from Lipton
60

My roommate and I love this tea. School offers this in our cafeteria, and it is such a guilty pleasure on cold nights. This is a tea that strongly resembles juice, and doesn’t taste bad when the bag is left in for a while.

Blackberry Vanilla Infusion from Lipton
31

This was a gift I received along with Bavarian Wild Berry (also by Lipton). I’m not much of a fan of either flavors, but this one is my least favorite of the two. I will try giving it away.

Bavarian Wild Berry from Lipton
46

This is a very safe fruity tea that my friends seem to enjoy. I don’t prefer it all that much, though.

Earl Grey from Harney & Sons
85

I will always have a soft spot for this flavor, since it was the first hot tea I remember drinking. Can’t compare it to other Earl Grey teas, but this is a tea I enjoy having on hand. I really love it.

Chamomile Citrus from Mighty Leaf Tea
77

I agree so much that this tea reminds me of fruity cereal! I was going to say Fruity Pebbles, but was not all that surprised that another user saw the resemblance as well… even if I thought of a different cereal, haha.

Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls from Teavana
79

First off, I can only compare the Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls to the Dragon Pearls from Harney & Sons. I have the individually wrapped sachets from Harney & Sons, not the tin. My own observation is that the Teavana pearls seem to be much stronger than those from Harney & Sons. Personally, I like the stronger jasmine flavor, but will try to look for a cheaper alternative to the Teavana tea.

Firefly Chai from Mountain Rose Herbs
92

So lucky to have inherited this tea. For the longest time, I was not a fan of spicy teas, but this one changed my mind. Mmm, it is delicious! Definitely want to check out some of the other teas this company has to offer.

Half Tea & Half Lemonade from Honest Tea
41

Probably wouldn’t recommend this over some of the other Honest Tea flavors, but I get these with my meal plan card at my school and they don’t have many options. It’s alright. Personally, I’m glad it’s not ridiculously sweet, but someone who’s looking for just that would be disappointed.

Tahitian Vanilla Hazelnut from Yogi Tea
80

There really is no hazelnut to be tasted here, which, for me, was a good thing. I can’t stand hazelnut flavored anything, which was why I was so reluctant to try this tea my mom gave me. An effort to use up the bagged tea I have, I ended up trying it anyway. After fixing it up with some vanilla almond milk and raw agave, this was quite tasty. I wound up asking my mom for some more.

Green Tea Kombucha from Yogi Tea
77

For someone who enjoys lemongrass and spearmint, this was a pretty safe bet for me.

Blueberry Kona Pop Tea Blend from Teavana
77

This is great hot or cold. On a mission to find my non-tea friend something that he enjoys, this was it!

Golden Monkey from Teavana
52

I have Golden Monkey mixed with a bit of Citrus Lavender Sage, and although delicious, I’m not willing to spend so much money on Teavana tea again.

Classic Raw Kombucha from G.T. Kombucha
73

The original was a bit too much for me, but I did enjoy the strawberry one much more.

Tropical Green from Harney & Sons
12

My mistake was that I thought Harney & Sons Citron Green tea was renamed Tropical Green. Not a fan of the strong pineapple flavor with a green tea. Friends of mine have loved this flavor, though.
