This morning has been kind of sucky, so I pulled this one to see if I could make myself feel better. Should have looked at my previous tasting note where I said this seemed a bit thin to me, but then again I didn’t actually say how much leaf I used in that one. In this one, I used 1 TBSP for 12 oz of water, and yes, it seems a bit weak. I like this tea, but for me the wuyi oolong gets in the way a bit for me. It lightens the liquor, giving it a mineral quality, and while this may be desirable to some, to me it just lessens the impact of the Laoshan Black. And I love the impact of Laoshan Black. :) Will try to remember to add more leaf next time and see how it goes.
