Sending personal messages

I wanted to start a game of tea-tag in the discussions, but it would require the sending of personal messages for addresses. There doesn’t seem to be a way to send someone a message unless they are following you…is this correct? And I’m wondering what the reason is for this because it seems to limit communication…

Yep that’s correct. It’s to limit unwanted contact, harassment, etc. I’d rather just a general “blocked users” list, but this is the way it is.

I would list tea or teas I have to offer, and anyone can claim it if they offer something for someone else…and someone claims that tea and offers something, and so on.

We did that sort of thing in a discussion thread topic a few months back. It seemed to work okay for awhile…and then fizzled out. I know I got and sent some teas through it though.
