Toronto Tea Festival 2015

Will any Steepster folk be going to the Toronto Tea Festival this coming weekend (Jan 31st and Feb 1st)?

I’ll be going there on Saturday with two RL friends who both like tea but are not on Steepster. However, I do hope to run into a few familiar names!

Yup, I’ll be there on Saturday as well. Pity that Jeff pulled out, though.

Best wishes,

Kittenna, Cavocorax and myself will be there saturday morning at doors open… we’re trying to convince VariaTEA to get her butt in gear and join us as well. Indigobloom is working the festival i believe as well.

My daughters will be there Saturday! They will be looking for people who seem to be looking for them! :)

Superanna on Steepster – short, long blonde hair, skinny, probably black short coat and boots. Youngest – 5’7" which is tall to me, long brown hair, short gray coat just like sis just different color, also boots and jeans. Both look about 15 but are 26 and 17.

You guys need a Steepster signal of some sort, like a really colourful scarf or something. :)

We’ll be there on Sunday but no vendor booth for us this year.

Oh man, I have a bright red Carmen Sandiego hat I could have worn so you could identify me…but I loaned it to a friend for cosplaying. Dammit. I need to see if I have any super obnoxious scarves or something.

I just checked and youngest left her 18 foot long Tom Baker/Doctor Who scarf at home, but they will be wearing matching jackets, one gray and one black. They are skinny, one blonde and one brunette, both have long hair. One short and one tall-ish.

If shenanigans start up, youngest is sure to join in. She digs shenanigans, also hi jinx.

Hey everyone!

I found a distinctive stripy scarf to wear. Here’s a photo of what I look like today (green shirt, stripy scarf, brown hair) if you want to tap me on the shoulder and say hi: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gnu74miq77ef4sm/2015-01-31%2009.01.25.jpg?dl=0

And yes, I know the face is goofy. The photo was was taken before I had any tea today…

so sad… didn’t see you that i can tell… we were on the look out.

I ran into Indigobloom and she mentioned you were there, but I wasn’t too sure on what to look for.

However, I_did_ run into ashmanra’s daughters, which was awesome.

Yay! They told me they saw you, Christina! I told them to invite to tea and they said they already had! I mean it! :)

so glad someone found ash’s daughters! :)

Hi ashmanra,

I really appreciate the invite! I’ve never been to NC and don’t see myself travelling in that part of the states any time soon, but at least I know I have the option now. :)

You all will have to share your Toronto Tea Festival favorites with the rest of us tea lovers! Perhaps some pics too. Please say hello to Tao and Enjoy!

I second this! Have fun!

Please also let us know if you find any notable pesticide-free black or Pu-erh teas:
- Organic certified
- Organically grown, but not yet certified
- Or, have passed any of the well-respected pesticide residue certifications

I did get the say hi to Tao, but he was taking a quick break from his booth, I think.

As for organic black or pu-erh teas, I didn’t look that closely. All I bought were 2 pu-erh cakes: one from Jalam teas, and one from another vendor whose name I don’t remember.
