Gift Ideas - Starter Sets, Teapots, Samplers, etc.

Are there any good starter sets, teapots, samplers, matcha sets, etc. that you recommend as gifts?

I can only think of IngenuiTea. TeaForte has a nice sampler (in terms of presentation), but from the reviews it seems the tea is lacking. Came across a nice matcha set from MatchaSource.

Any other suggestions?

Harney & Sons has good gift items, particularly this time of year. As a matter of fact, I think one might be featured in the Steepster Select right now. :D

This year for gifts I am making my own sampler sets, giving some of my favorite teas of the past year. I bought in bulk and also got small tins to put the tea into. Definitely a do-it-yourself project, but I started thinking about this months ago, so I’ve had time to get everything before Christmas.

I made starter gift sets for my family members and friends a few years ago for Christmas. Everyone loved the sets:-) And, the great thing is that I know everyone NOW has a tea ball:-) So, I can share loose tea with others all the time. This is the ball I gifted. Reasonably prices, doesn’t tangle, Fun to use, easy to use, easy to clean. Good luck! Let us know how they turned out and how they were received. Maybe share a twitter pic? :-)

Merry Xmas

I absolutely love this idea. Like mix CDs of favorite songs from the past year, but with tea!

I think it’s important to include something they’d NEVER try (savory teas?) and tea literature.

Another idea, if you’re financially able to, is to buy the person something they really want but just can’t afford themself. Or, you could give them money or a gift certificate and specify that it’s supposed to go toward that desired item.

Tea of the month clubs or tea magazines. That way they get something and can think of you all year long.

Upton tea has some really good deals on Chatsford teapots and their shipping costs are low.
