It arrived today! It’s kind of small compared to the last one xD
I will explore Darjeeling/Assam black teas. I’ve had very few teas from India and now seems to be an opportunity to become more acquainted. Plus, I imagine they’re easy to brew Western style, which would be good since I’m away from home twelve hours a day.
Mind if I ask for steeping parameters? I’m not familiar with brewing loose Darjeeling and Assam.

I usually do:
Assam- 1tsp-8oz-212F-3 to 5min western
Darjeeling-1tsp-8oz-2 to 4 min, and the earlier flush=cooler water ranging from 185F-200F. The hotter the water is means the more of a robust flavor you’ll get.
Really, the dimensions are smaller. And there were so many more oolongs and pu’erh. I didn’t feel so overwhelmed when I opened this box xD
I tried 180 and it was terrible. 190 seems to hit the sweet spot for me!
I’m thinking of sending it out on Thursday. If not, then Saturday.
I’ve been sick with a cold for the past couple days…I haven’t touched the actual box since Saturday (just a couple packets I took out before I got sick). I’m trying not to spread it…
are signups closed? im visiting again in CA but only for 3weeks. never been in a TTB either XD
