GABA oolong from Vietnam. This is my first experience with oolong that tastes and smells like bread. Fruity too, but a warm bread taste is dominant. So interesting to my palate!

Oh man, that one makes me feel like I have lead limbs!

;) I was feeling kind of edgy before drinking it, but that tea is nice and soothing. No more edgy!

Started my day with Dragon Cloud green from Tea from Vietnam, because I couldn’t get it off my mind. Then I experimented overleafing some Rivendell to see if I could improved the gong fu experience of the tea… success!!

Rotating between a tieguanyin from Mandala, steeping out the 2012 Bulang Shu from Crimson Lotus (I think it’s starting to peter out at steep 12 or so), and steeping out the Clouds and Fog sheng from Mandala.

Yunnan Dehong Wild Ye Sheng Purple varietal Black Tea from What-Cha.

Its so weird & interesting & complex, I think ive tasted:

Roasted Oolong, Sheng, Cake, Cherry, Malt, Medicinal, Plants, Plums, Chocolate, Fruity, Wet Leaf, Mint, Sour, Berry..

Its also smooth. I think the dark berry/plummy taste is the most prominent. A bit black forest gateaux, but with a whole lot more going on.

Cupping two different single-origin matchas to pick one to carry. Both are blends of 7 cultivars: Sayamakaori, Yabukita, Meiryoku, Kanayamidori, Okumidori, Saemidori, and Gokou. Just in different proportions to get a different flavor profile. Tried them straight; now I want to try them as a Matcha latte (or Gibraltar, actually).
