Traditional Tea Shops in South East (US)?

I know there are many wonderful tea shops on the West Coast of the U.S. but there seem to be so few (if any) in the South East. Does anyone know of any tea shops in The South (or Florida) that are worth a visit?

I’m looking for one that has some knowledge of traditional Chinese/Japanese/Taiwanese teas.

Thank you!

I’m living in Central Florida at the moment (but the company is based in Dallas). What type of a tea shop are you interested in?

I’d love to see one that focuses more on unflavored traditional teas. I just got back from Europe and there were several shops that had a massive selection without a single flavored tea (excepting jasmine). I doubt one like that exists in my part of the world but even a place where I could sit down and have a cup of FengHuang oolong where the owner actually knew which kind of FengHuang it was would be lovely. Wishful thinking perhaps.

Reviving this thread because I saw It a few months ago and meant to reply. I live and Florida, and good tea shops are pretty scarce here, but two that I would definitely recommend are

-Ming Ming Tea in St. Pete FL: A small husband/wife run Chinese tea shop with good tea and reasonable prices, they even have some pu’erh and offer a few teas from the Guangxi province that I haven’t seen elsewhere. Not a tea house really, but they will let you sample a tea or two before buying. The husband/owner is nice but will talk your ears off. Great shop though, don’t be deterred by the tacky “weight loss” signs out front. They have a website http://mingmingtea.com/ but it’s kind of junky and not at all up to date. The pictures of the teas are stock photos

-Dobra Teahouse in Asheville NC: A small chain teahouse/shop, I think there’s about six around the country. I’ve only been there once, but their Dancong oolong was very nice and their other teas looked very good as well. Good atmosphere, and you can have tea served in a pot or gaiwan. http://www.dobrateanc.com/
