Independent Sellers: Is there a list?

I would like to know who are the people who make their own tea, such as LiquidProust, and Whispering Pines and 52 Teas. Largely I want to support independent blenders, but I also think that there is more to experience with people with new visions.

Plum Deluxe does their own blends and they are fantastic.

Doulton! I was so happy that tears welled up in my eyes to see you post! I’ve been thinking about you often and I’m happy to “see” you! I hope you’re doing well!

PS: Thank you for mentioning 52Teas. :)

Thank you! I am so happy, LiberTeas that you remember me. I slowly left Steepster because of a health crisis and then a death in my family, followed by more stuff and nonsense and the need to work. But I’ve always been happy to know that Steepster is here. I’ve been drinking tea all along. Tea has restored and revived me.

I’m so sorry to hear of all you’ve been through in the last 4 years but am so happy to see you here again. I’ve missed you and I’m sure that I’m not the only one.

I’m so sorry for your loss and your health struggles. Steepster is glad to have you back! It’s my dream to start a tea business one day but I think I’m still a long way off. If I do it, I want to do it right. Welcome back!

This is a fantastic post because 90% of my ‘play’ money goes to tea which means I am always looking :)

These three are a bit different than the ones that you have listed, but I think a mention is appropriate:

Victor: http://www.ettetea.com/

Aaron & Gina: http://august.la/

Selena: http://annateashop.com/ (not 100% sure, but I have dealt with Selana for over 2 years, I hope she is the blender)

Anna’s definitely does not do their own blends. I can tell by looking. Google Arctic Fire Black for an example.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
:(
The truth hurts.

Thank you so much, everyone. I really like to support companies that have their hand in the blends.

Aka Teas is one that hand blends the majority of their teas. She only outsources two of her blends. In case you are still looking for more companies :)

A Canadian option – Tippy’s Tea:

And a couple Canadian tea stores that have some original blends:
Aromatica Fine Teas – http://myaromatica.com/collections/chari-teas
Banff Tea Co – http://banffteaco.com/shop/category/exclusive-blends/

Also, Amoda Tea is all about supporting small/independent tea blenders:

We’re sorta independent. (haha does that count?)

I get my flavored teas from my old tea shop back in Edinburgh, Anteaques. Where I know they do blending. http://anteaques.co.uk/

Just not cost effective for me to buy a proper mixing drum, and sourcing cooking grade bergamont oil in the US is impossible.

Un-flavored blends I do though, like Moroccan Mint, English Breakfast, and private blends for cafes.
