Well I was trying to get everyone’s info together so I could start the game. I had initially asked for a message by yesterday morning but we may have some stragglers that still want to join.
For instance, I still haven’t received your info yet, so if you could send it over that would be great.

If you’ve sent me a message with your info, that’s great! you’re all set up. I’m sorry for the delay! I’m just waiting on a few more addresses and working out the logistics. Just FYI, unlike last year your Secret Pumpkin giver won’t be the person you are Secret Pumpkin to, so it’ll all be surprises when we get our packages (except for me, but well… can’t do anything about that!).
If you HAVE NOT messaged me about your info yet, please do so by tomorrow morning, but preferably tonight. I would like to give everyone the maximum shopping time! I have two people that have said ‘yes’ recently but without info, and four people without info total. If I don’t have your status I can’t assign you!

OK! Everyone participating should have gotten a PM from me giving you the name of your Secret Pumpkin recipient. The Steepster messaging system seems to be acting kind of wonky though so if you haven’t seen it by tomorrow morning, shoot me a message and I’ll send it to you again.

As I went to finalize my purchases for (you can’t know), I kept saying to myself “don’t buy anything for yourself, don’t buy anything for yourself, don’t buy anything for youself” and guess what I did…
I order the tea online for my secret pumpkin and it should be there Friday. Also a small package of fall extras was mailed today and should be there soon to. Please let me know when you get your packages. I hope you enjoy them.
It says you may get the teas this thurs which isn’t to far away or Friday. hopefully you will and the fall extra package should either be here this thurs or Friday.
I went shopping for a ‘fall thingy’ today. It was surprising fun and a bit overwhelming.

Don’t worry.. I was so busy with packing the gift part, I almost sealed the box without putting the tea in XD
Oops. I guess I should have clarified that before? I mean if you really want to keep it secret you can and have your recipient guess?
Don’t people usually let people know when they give the present? Complete secret is White Elephant I think. We’re playing fall themed Secret Santa.

Lol. The way I’ve played in the past is that everyone brings a gift following a theme and money value and puts it in the pot. If you brought a gift you draw a number. People pick gifts in their number order, then open it and show it off. If you are a later number you can steal a opened gift or pick a new one. If your gift is stolen you can steal or pick a new one. Each present has a steal limit of three times.
It’s a fun game for large groups like clubs or office parties where it’s hard to give personal gifts.
I’ll be sending mine out this Saturday. I hope that isn’t too late…

Sending mine out tomorrow, so for those of you still waiting, no worries, it’ll be there!
The soft ‘ship by’ date is Oct 10th, which is this Saturday and I highly encourage trying to meet. I know that some people might have ordered and need to wait for those packages to arrive before they can ship theirs out though, so let’s say the hard ‘ship by’ date is the 17th, next Saturday. Just make sure that all packages arrive by Halloween. So if you think your mail carrier is going to take forever, better to ship it early.
Plus it’s nice to receive packages early too. At least we don’t have to deal with Holiday postal delays? Remember Monday is a holiday! I’m not sure if the post offices are going to be open.
