Adagio is giving free shipping, no codes needed. I just ordered an IngenuiTea set and extra sampler and honey for a friend for Xmas. (Gift sets also get free wrapping). Too bad I had to pay a $2 “rural surcharge” for shipping via UPS. Never seen that before! so basically my shipping was half price, not free >:-\ Better luck to you! )

(Also, here is a one-use $5 gift certificate to Adagio Teas for first-time buyers: 7046489422. Expires in 24 hours.) CODE HAS BEEN REDEEMED

Yeah it all depends on who you send it to- I’ve had to do that a lot.

Small
Janefan said 2010-11-26 13:39:03 -0500

I had it shipped to my own home!! I’d consider it my area “semi-rural” – I mean, I am in a subdivision for pete’s sake!

Is this the 1st time you’ve had it shipped to you that you’ve been charged extra? If I have to pay extra for a certain address, it’s always been that way- nothing’s changed.

Small
Janefan said 2010-11-26 14:08:35 -0500

Well it’s the first time I’ve ordered from Adagio. But I’ve never had to pay a surcharge from any other merchants, and I’m sure a few of them used UPS Ground too. ::shrug:: oh well

I can send more $5 of codes to first-time Adagio customers. PM me your name and email address if you want one.

AMAZING deal. Unfortuantely 6 out of the 15 are teas I don’t like:( Hojicha and Gen Mai Cha are the 2 greens I don’t like at all. A Japanese company that doesn’t sell matcha? Sad:(

Shinobi_cha said 2010-11-26 14:10:07 -0500

They DO sell Matcha, here is their matcha deal (I don’t know if free shipping, but I assume so): http://www.obubutea.com/store/combo-specials/
(That is their special this weekend, but of course they sell the matchas individually)

$50 for 3 kinds of matcha, 60 grams of high quality matcha, and 100 grams of the less expensive type of matcha.

Oh ok thanks for bringing that to my attention. You said the sampler was one of every tea so when I didn’t see it, I didn’t bother to look elsewhere lol.

Small
Shinobi_cha said 2010-11-26 14:59:00 -0500

Yeah..well, that’s how THEY advertised their sampler, “One of every one of our teas” or something like that…. I guess they were exaggerating.

Cofftea said 2010-11-26 15:48:56 -0500

I really don’t like false advertising so probably will never buy from them.

Small
Shinobi_cha said 2010-11-26 15:57:22 -0500

That’s pretty harsh!
But, what do I care? I would never have considered buying from them until I saw that deal myself.

Try the naivetea coupon code – givethanks – for 15% off until the end of november. that is a good deal as their flavored oolongs are quite nice and somewhat expensive – $20 bucks for 2 oz.

Small
LiberTEAS said 2010-11-26 16:39:41 -0500

They are a little expensive but they are SO worth the price if you like Oolongs. Naivetea has some of the best Oolongs I’ve ever tasted.

LissaMarie said 2010-11-26 17:15:08 -0500

I agree with LiberTEAS! Naiveteas’ Oolongs are delicious and some of the best i’ve sipped on as well :)
