Help with xia guan jia ji tuo cha

Hi,

enyone know if the xiaguan jia ji tuo cha boxed is the same than the no boxed? I mean is only a packaging difference or the pu erh is not the same?

I want to buy 5 tuos from 2010 to age it an other 5 years but I don’t know if are the same or not I have tasted the boxed one and I like it).

They may not be identical but will at least be similar. Sometimes there are subtle differences, storage if nothing else.

It is supposed to be the same recipe. I have read more than one opinion that the boxed is better, more complex. Hard to say though, if you are looking for a daily drinker then the less expensive one may be worth it.

I see… maybe the boxed is better because it use better grade leaves? Or because of the storage environment that the box provides as AllanK says?

I am looking to buy 500gr (5 tuos) to age it 4-5 years more.
