Tea ruined by exterminator spray?

Usually exterminators spray along the edges of walls, unless you were told they were using a bug bomb. I’d get clarification since you could be smelling a masking scent.

For roaches I suspect they would have done more than that. Cupboards and counters – but still confirm with the exterminator. If for nothing else than to know what’s going on.

Just an update, so the Landlord told me I didn’t need to worry about the tea and the bug spray just went into crevices, etc and was not a mist all over everything. I don’t think he knows much about pu’erh however. :)

I’m just thinking about the pu’s tendency to absorb different smells, like I’ve heard it isn’t a good idea to use incense or scented candles around it. I guess I have some more thinking to do! But thanks for your input.

That’s exciting! There are many products out there so perhaps it’s not a problem at all as he says. You could try brewing some and doing a sniff or taste test if you’re brave. :)

When I had the exterminator at my apartment he used some sort of gel, it had no odor at all and wasn’t sprayed anywhere. Sorry to hear about your puerh.
