resteeping chamomile

I didnt know where else to find this answer than you guys and I think maybe it brings about the idea for having a “questions” topic perhaps …but what I was wondering is how many steeps do u get out of herbals? This is my first time having an herbal tea and this chamomile rocks! Don’t want to waste it! Thanks.

Specify if you steep loose leaf- I’d LOVE to know the answer for my fiance. I know ginger root never dies.

@Kat, maybe not a questions thread as I could see that getting really jumbled- but DEFINITELY a separate one for each type of tea… this would be a great one for herbals.

It all depends on what your chamomile/water ratio is.

kat, you’re steeping Adagio’s blend, correct? I asked on their live chat a while back, and they suggest 2 teaspoons for every 8 oz. of water. I didn’t try resteeping mine, and I’m not sure how it’d go… let me know if you try it, though, and what the results would be like!

I ended up with about 2.5 tsp/8 oz and it turned out great! I resteeped it 3x – the first 2 were excellent , the 3rd was lacking a little flavor but definitely good for 2 dynamite ones! :)

Did you steep it the same each time or did you increase the steeping time?
