12 teas of Christmas from 52teas
All of the teas in this year’s sampler are vegan. Merry Christmas!
I just wanted to thank Frank for a spectacular time with the 12 teas of Christmas. I loved trying all of the teas and waiting to find out what the next one would be! I think that this will be a permanent Christmas tradition for me! : )
This was fun! I wish I had gotten to try Milk and Cookies but other than that…
I would buy caramel vanilla chai if my parents hadn’t put a stopper on my tea buying
Ummm…. So… Frank… I’ve been wondering… will there be a “12 teas of… Valentine’s Day” or a “12 teas of… St. Patrick’s Day”? Maybe a “12 teas of…. Easter”?!?! The packets and the surprises and the pictures and the flavors! I have 5 or 6 more sealed packets to go and I might cry when it’s over because I’m enjoying this experience so much!!!
LOL! I seem to recall hearing something similar from folks on Steepster last year. I’m so happy with how much fun everyone seems to have with these. I just think if we did them all the time, it wouldn’t be as special.
Having said that, you could always subscribe to one of our tea of the week plans and get surprised with a new tea every week.
I never wanted to spend that much at once before, especially with never trying your teas, but now that I’ve been pretty tickled by everything I’ve tried, I think come January paycheck I just might have to dedicate my tea budget to the 3 month plan :) Is there anyway to request no non-vegan teas on a plan like that, though? :-/
DId anybody else have any packets explode on them?!?? Just went to open one (the chai) and no joke upon picking it up and giving it a small shake to guide all the tea to the bottom of the bag it EXPLODED (the bottom wasn’t glued enough I guess) and is now residing all over my microwave, bananas, window, floor, counter, sink… How could that little bag hold so much mess??!! :( oh and in my hair, too!
I have to say I wasn’t as pleased with this as I hoped to be. I had issues with the packets exploding and/or leaking before I even opened the box. And many of the teas in the packet were ones I already had (Pancake Breakfast) or opted not to get because of the tea base. I was a bit disappointed, although it was a gamble. I don’t think I would get it next year. However, I would still recommend this to others, teaists who don’t normally purchase 52Teas. I just hope next time around the packets refrain from bursting!
I understand what you’re saying, about midway through the 12 days I was thinking if I should have gotten the 12 Days because I did in fact purchase nearly all of the teas from the last year, so, I knew there was a big chance that I’d have tried them all except for day 12. But, it was still fun doing the countdown and it was nice to revisit some of the ones that I had already finished. So I will definitely go for the 12 days again next year. I would like it though if Frank included more than just 1 new tea in it… maybe 2 or 3 (or more) spread throughout the 12 days, so that it is a bigger surprise.
And yes, I had two packages that had not been sealed properly. I inspected each of the packets when the package arrived, though, to make sure they were all sealed, so I didn’t lose much tea because of the initial inspection.
FYI: Just ordered some supplies for a special Valentine’s Day project.
You know what they say: “Life is like a box of chocolate teas; you never know what you’re gonna get.”
More details soon…
