Tea Tasting Notes and Websites
I run a website. I do tea reviews every week. I was told about steepster because of my website. I was thinking of instead of copy pasting my article to my Tea Tasting notes here I was thinking that I could paste a link or at least a web address in the notes. Would this be against anything. I read through it and I didn’t see anything that said I couldn’t do this, but I’m afraid that I might have accidentally skipped something. Another option I was thinking of is adding part of the review and offering the rest of by visiting my website.

There’s nothing wrong with linking your review to another website, or perhaps your 2nd suggestion is better, posting a small part of the review here, and then include the link for the full review.
I think pasting a small bit of the review is better than just the link, a lot f time just the link anoys me – i want to know was it good? awful? interesting? and then if i’m interested i’ll read the whole thing.
That is what I ended up deciding to do. Thank you for the insight though.

Thanks for the consideration towards best practices before posting the links. As of now we have not prevented anyone from linking offsite to their own review, so you are not violating any rules by doing so. We do want to keep tasting notes as helpful and usable to the people on Steepster, so I think it would be nice provide at least part of the review link that way people can get a peek before leaving the site. But there aren’t strict rules yet and there shouldn’t be a problem so long as you’re not obviously abusing the system. Thanks.
