looking for a rich presweetened matcha... similar to tazo matcha (starbucks)

i’m a big fan of the green tea lattes at starbucks (that and the bathrooms are probably the only reason for going into a starbucks), and a few days ago i made a soy matcha latte with agave using some matcha powder i begged a friend to smuggle out of work for me. i tweeted about it with a picture a few days ago @teaspoonteabar (http://yfrog.com/h02woqij) i’ve tried, with no success, to locate this product online and with the exception of ebay ($35 an bag) can not find it any place. anyone have a good one they’re currently in love with?

Domo Tea has a few different flavoured matcha mixes. Here’s the link to the Products section of their website, though unfortunately the matcha seems to be out of stock at the moment: http://www.domotea.com/pages/products.php?category=1

Here are 3 I know about but have never tried:

-Uji-Shimizu by Ippodo, 150g for $3.60, or 400g for $8.41
https://shop.ippodo-tea.co.jp/shop/en/category.vm

OR
-Sweet Matcha by Rishi Tea, 125g for $10
http://www.rishi-tea.com/store/sweet-matcha-original.html

OR
-Sweet Green Tea by Maeda-en, 4.2oz (120g) for $5.25
http://maeda-en.com/store/productdetail.php?p_id=012180

Good luck!

I saw cartons of Tazo’s Green Tea Latte concentrate at my local Target.

:) Of course we are going to be slightly biased, but our matcha is pretty delicious! we have a powdered one as well as a fulll loose leaf tea filled with toasted goodness and unsweetened:

P.S. We now offer free shipping on all of our orders :)

I love your teas, but the matcha worries me. The color is supposed to be a vibrant green. That may be the looking matcha I’ve seen in a picture.

I have not tried them, but you might want to check out Lupicia’s Matcha au Laits… they come in several flavors too.

I have tried the Lupicia Caramel au lait and it is quite delicious. I really really love it. However they always seem to be sold out.

I second that and you are right they are always out.

I agree DOMO has some awesome matcha powders – more than just green tea based, mind you!

My favorite is Tazo Matcha, Green Tea Latte Concentrate that I always order on http://greenteamatchagrid.com/green-tea-matcha-grid/green-tea-benefits/tazo-matcha-green-tea-latte-concentrate-32-ounce-containers-pack-of-6; because the product is sipped to me from Japan. By the way in this I noticed the use of some ingredient they may be hints to matcha good results. It is adding or using soy in your matcha recipes. Soy is known to introduce hormones into your diet that are bad for you.
Also using agave to sweeten things actually causes more damage to your system than high fructose corn syrup.Use raw sugar from sugar cane instead.
