2018 Xiaguan/Dayi/Changtai... Sign-Ups towards last pages. Going down February 2018

Okay, last time what I posted seemed to confuse people. I’ll make this simple, I have a good chunk of $ I am willing to put towards taobao right now and I’m willing to split the order.

This is really simple: Comment under the link I post about if you’re interested; I don’t need to know if you think it’s pretty, if you can find it cheaper, and I have no answers so I am unable to satisfy questions.

Going to see what has the most interest and get quotes on tongs, if possible.

I’ll leave this up until May 28th and let everyone know the results.

I’ll be seeing how much a tong of this will run and then see about ordering a few tongs.

This is a HaiWan “Old Tree Remote Mountain” from before the puerh boom. It probably has decent material in it.

I’ve seen this cake for $60 elsewhere, not going to start dropping names though Dropping it anyways: http://www.dragonteahouse.biz/remote-mountain-ancient-tree-haiwan-puer-cake-2006-500g-raw/

This is an excellent price for it. Did you check the others I listed on the last page? The Yu Run, Jade Luster sheng has a good price too.

Ahh this ones tempting. I just made an order of almost $100 less than a month ago though…. Have you thought about any new-ish Menghai cakes in this order?

Oh snap, this stuff is really smooth for an old camphor, tobacco, and semi smoke taste. Easily brews out clear liquid with distinct taste each steep.

I’m trying to figure out the maker of this one and the previous. It’s 佰年尚普 ?

BC, I’ll get the name when I’m at home. I’ve bought two of their cakes the Ram and Monkey; great stuff. Talked to James at teadb about them and found out they are newer with almost no coverage so I’ve been trying to so so myself :)

Bai Champoux. I’ve their $40’ range stuff.

I can drop to 1 if another wants in or just find 4 more slots

I would get this just to see if the Lao Man E is real in it. It is usually quite bitter and a bit akin to turpentine.

+1 if available. I can go +2 if you need extra slots

You’ve given up on the idea of buying tongs and getting people to commit to whole cakes? I liked that idea. Also, you are only buying raw tea, no ripe?

they look all raw to me

I already bought the only ripe teas that appeal to me; the golden needle white lotus. I liked the tong idea as well but the way it would work would be two teas I picked out… People were not feeling that so I’m going to let this ride and if it’s all a CF of opinions I will just place my order solo style. I’d be up to doing a tong of these higher end BC cakes of I had enough interest but those tongs will run $500 to $700 which I’m okay with… Just getting other in board is blah.

Okay, okay, okay…. voting system. I’m doing tongs again. Dang this is so complicated. I’ll take the ones with the most +1 or I’m interested and then create the invoice to get a quote.

I will get a tong of the Year of the Horse listed above if there are no more buyers on it.

I would be interested in a couple of that one.

Here’s the information on my last purchase: 6kg of product, total weight 8kg, declared value of package was $240. The shipping for this package was $106.34
Add the $15.77 agent fee (it changes between 5% and 6%) and we are looking at $21 per kg shipped. This is really good when splitting evenly, but I just want to let you know that each one of these will end up costing you like $6 each. Let me know if that is still what you want to do; I divide the whole shipping by weight of each person and figure the true amount each person owes. edit this number will change… the fee is based on the original order of $240, wish I could provide better numbers :/

ps in the end, if you place a pretty large order here with us then you end up seeing a pretty good result even after my shipping cost. I can send 4 pounds for $12, but I don’t think anyone is ordering that much :)

You realize that’s not King Tea?

I’m aware, but it’s Bang Dong

mrmopar said

They sell on Ebay under zhang_yunhai. I have a cake enroute from them. May be a while before it arrives though.

Is it a Bang Dong?

So if I said +1 interested in a certain tea, would I be saying that I’m committing to buying a whole cake of it? Or just that I’d like to sample it?

A whole cake, however I need a at least 4 to 7 interested on each one. Also, remember that TB orders will see a jump in price due to splitting cost of shipping.
