Southern Boy Iced Tea

I just tried to order from Frank at SBIT. Every single tea I chose said “sold out.” Did I miss something? It let me add the free sample tea to the cart but after that I couldn’t order anything, and I chose a ton of different teas just to see if any of them were in stock.

I was just going to post about this too. I went to look up the website and I was getting errors :-(

Pretty sure he’s been done for a bit. M&k Teas as well as The Finest Brew. Lots of places closing without notice

After he handed off 52Teas to Liberteas, I realize I haven’t REALLY heard anything from Frank on Steepster after a few initial posts about Southern Boys. I wonder if Libertea’s still in contact with him.

Facebook and Twitter indicate Southern Boy’s latest activity was March 9th.

He did post about the iced tea pin up girl contest… I remember because it gave my stomach a workout via laughter.

I don’t know when to not talk…

I definitely missed /that/.

One of the downsides of Steepster’s forums is you can’t just go to someone’s profile and click to view all of their posts. It would be handy.

His last Twitter/Facebook post doesn’t say anything about shutting down or taking a break, though.

The last thing I saw was the post about not being dead in February. However, based off of nothing on Amazon or his site… I would say he is out right now

Hopefully just an impromptu break to work on other things. Life gets in the way sometimes.

I believe he has sold SBT – or at least he was going to sell it. He had it on his local Craigslist for 23K (business and all his equipment and inventory) – whether or not he got that – I don’t know. I don’t have a lot of details as to what’s happening next with SBT.

Sorry!

He did just start a job with an insurance agency and so I think he’s just going a completely different direction now.

Awwwwwww, and here I thought nobody loved me anymore but my mother (and she could be jivin’ too).

No, folks, I’m still alive and sorry to be so out of touch. I’ve been going through a lot of personal stuff. I was hospitalized in December. My mom passed away in January. Orders for iced tea in the winter are virtually non-existent and frankly I kind of gave up hope for a while. I did find a job, and I am working on re-opening my cafe here in Wichita. I’m still not sure what to do with Southern Boy Teas, but I have a few ideas I am exploring. Hopefully I will have an update on that soon. I have removed all of the inventory from the website, because Frankly, I owe Paypal some money and people were placing orders that I couldn’t fill because the money I would have used for postage was zapped out of my Paypal account before I could buy postage to ship the orders. And they turned off the lights in my office and it has just been messy and I didn’t want to have people ordering and not be able to fill the orders. I do still have some inventory, and I might figure out a way to have at least one more sale before I sell off my equipment (IF that is what I end up doing). Sorry that I don’t have anything more concrete to tell you, but I am working on it. Peace and love.

That is a lot to go through! Know that many of your teas hold a special spot in our hearts and we hope you are able/feel up to working your tea magic again. Meanwhile, you will be in my prayers. Sometimes life smacks us so darned hard, and it seems like it can come as one hit after another before we can stand up straight from the first one! Lots of people on here care about you. It is hard to know what is going on with each other since it is a “virtual” relationship, so forgive for not checking on you sooner. Best wishes and I hope to enjoy your Earl Grey Iced and Razzleberry again one day! You are a true tea blending artist!
