Taylors of Harrogate Earl Grey is one of my favorite Earl Grey blends. To begin with, it has an intoxicating aroma. I’d, in fact, wear it if the essence could be captured in a cologne. It’s that good. Now there’s an idea. Taylors of Harrogate Earl Grey Cologne for the discerning gentleman or Earl Grey No. 5 for the charming ladies. I like the fragrance so much I almost hate to throw away the bag when I’m finished with the tea. But the real story is in the taste. It is rich, it has stucture and it is full bodied. It’s not like some whimpy Earl Grey blends that are thin, weak, flat or just plain insipid. The bergamot is quite evident and that is the way I like it. I don’t want a so so black tea blend with just a hint of bergamot. If I’m drinking an Earl Grey tea I want to taste the bergamot. For me, this tea is the Bette Middler of Earl Greys. It is bold, it’s brassy and it has notes that will get your attention. And I do mean that as a perfect compliment. There’s a lot to like about it and as long as Taylors of Harrogate produces it it will be in my cupboard. Give it a try, I think you’ll like it.

Earl Grey Creme vanilla and Chocolate EG both from Upton Tea. Both are creamy and really delicious.

I want to try both of those teas, unfortunately the last time I looked they were out of the smaller sizes of the chocolate EG. I’m reluctant to buy a lot at once. Though the EG creme vanilla looks cheap enough.

Earl Grey Cream from Zen Tea Life is amazing. Hands down the best Earl Grey I’ve ever had.

My all time favorite is Twinnings Earl Grey. You might want to try a loose leaf blend that you can play around with how much or little to steep to your taste.

The best Earl Grey I ever had was also my first ever EG. Earl Grey blue Flower by Zen Tea! http://zentealife.com/index.php/tea/tea-type/black-tea/earl-grey-blue.html#.UP2-XWeS9Ow

So very delicious and so very powerful at 4.50/50g it’s sooo worth it. I resteeped those leaves 4 times and I know I could have steeped them a few more times and they’d still have been going strong. Right now all I have is Stash tea’s Earl Grey (not even double bergamot, saddy face)which is good, but Zen Tea blew me away.

A bit late to the party, but I’m also on the eternal quest of the perfect EG, for now I have 3 faves: Earl Grey Fortune by TWG teas {1st flush darjeeling base} quite delicate & delish, Earl Grey Gentleman by TWG teas {ceylon base} bolder as just the right needed kick in the morning & there’s a new tea house in Mexico City: Tomás te, which has the No. 450 which is like a modern twist of the EG {went quite liberal on this} the base is oolong, black tea, rose petals, lavender flowers, rosemary & bergamot extract. This is unbelievable. What I want to try after reading your reviews: Earl Grey Supreme by H&S, Earl Grey by Mariage Freres & Earl Grey by Taylors of Harrogate.

I’ll jump into the discussion too. The BEST EG I have ever had was from The Tea Centre (Swedish company):

I had a friend bring it back from a trip this year. SO GOOD.

I love a green earl grey that I bought from hotsoup. It has a green darjeeling base, with a very delicate amount of bergamot.
