:Looking for white tea and honeybush suggestions

I’ve never had a white tea or a honeybush before, preferably flavored. Though for the white tea are there any sweet white teas? or any flavored white teas that aren’t extremely fruity?

Shang Tea does excellent white teas. Their only blends are florals though. White blends are not as plentiful as other teas, white is a bit of a delicate and light tasting base. They seem mostly paired with fruit or floral. If you like coconut, Art of Tea has a great white coconut creme tea!

However, whites are pretty sweet on their own. I’d try them straight and see what you think.

+1 on AoT coconut but also try their summer rain and butterscotch. They often run sales, and have these wonderful little tins for their samples.

My favorite white is Bai Mu Dan, also called White Peony. It’s sweet and tastes like flowers and hay. To me it tastes like summer in a cup. It’s lovely. My favorite honeybush is Honeybush Hazelnut by Adagio. I bought a pound of it at one point and drank it all. It’s only lighly flavored, but the flavors pair so well, and it’s so nice for blending that I really need to buy some more since I just ran out.

Woot. I was about to say Bai Mu Dan as well. It ages well too! :)

David’s tea has a new Bai Mu Dan plus the usual flavoured ones.

Upton Tea, of Boston, has a large selection of White Teas. They have a good reputation as well.

You might see Bai Mu Tan spelled as Pai Mu Tan :)

If you want a great delicate white tea, albeit expensive, look out for some Silver Needle white tea. Buy it from a reputable place (I get mine from teavivre) and you won’t be disappointed. The flavor is sweet, light, and very refreshing.
